FFG’s investee Smartfunding Pte. Ltd. receives Capital Market Services License from Monetary Authority of Singapore

Fatfish Internet Group Ltd (ASX code: FFG) is pleased to announce that Singapore based SmartFunding Pte. Ltd. (“SmartFunding”), a subsidiary of its fintech venture builder arm, Fintech Asia Group, has received a Capital Market Services License from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the central bank of Singapore.

SmartFunding operates an online peer to peer platform (www.smartfunding.sg) for business funding, helping businesses to raise fund directly from investors online. The Capital Market Services Licence will allow Smartfunding to now act as a licensed intermediary to deal with securities of all classes under the Singapore Securities and Futures Act.

The awarded license will have significant positive impact on SmartFunding’s business as it is now able to broaden its scope of product offerings and become one of a handful of such license holders in Singapore.

Fintech Asia Group, is a 49% held investee company of FFG and is responsible for building fintech ventures in Southeast Asia, building fintech ventures in major Southeast Asia market such as Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
