Update as to the acquisition of a retirement village business

Since signing the Agreement to acquire the assets and business of a retirement village owner operator and developer on 2 May 2006, the Board of Directors has been involved in extensive. discussions and negotiations with the vendor. These negotiations are to bring the acquisition to the most advantageous conclusion for the company. In addition the Board of Directors have undertaken an exhaustive selection process to obtain the most appropriate legal and corporate advisers in order to progress the due diligence process in an effective and timely manner.

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Blake Dawson Waldron to act as the company's legal adviser in this transaction.

Under the terms of the Confidential Agreement entered into on 2 May 2006, the parties have agreed to extend the timetable for the due diligence process.

Further announcements will be made as to the appointment of a corporate adviser and/or investment banker.
