Fastned gaat samenwerking aan met West-Vlaamse Intercommunale voor realisatie snellaadstations

Amsterdam, 25 juni 2021. Fastned, het Europese snellaadbedrijf, is geselecteerd door de West-Vlaamse Intercommunale (WVI) om vijf grote snellaadstations te realiseren op haar veelal langs hoofdwegen gelegen bedrijventerreinen in West-Vlaanderen. Bij de snellaadstations kunnen honderden elektrische voertuigen per dag opgeladen worden met een laadsnelheid tot 300 kW. Alle geleverde stroom zal afkomstig zijn van lokale Belgische zon en wind productie.

De snellaadstations worden gerealiseerd op bedrijventerreinen van de WVI nabij drukke uitvalswegen. Als verlengstuk van 54 West-Vlaamse gemeenten heeft WVI op basis van een uitgebreid selectieproces Fastned geselecteerd om de in totaal vijf beschikbare locaties te voorzien van een snellaadstation. De eerste twee concessieovereenkomsten voor een station in Roeselare en Oostende zijn nu getekend. Deze stations worden komend jaar gerealiseerd. De overige locaties zullen in de komende jaren volgen. Fastned verwacht op elke locatie een groot laadstation te bouwen waar tot 16 voertuigen tegelijk kunnen opladen.

Fastned is hier de geschikte partner voor: ze hebben uitgebreide expertise in het bouwen van snelle laadinfrastructuur en bieden een aangename laadervaring voor de elektrische rijder. Ik ben dan ook zeer verheugd dat we met Roeselare hierin een voortrekkersrol kunnen opnemen."

Fastned enters into partnership with West Flemish Intercommunale in Belgium to realise fast charging stations

Amsterdam, 25 June 2021. Fastned, the European fast charging company, has been selected by the West Flemish Intercommunale (WVI) in Belgium to realise five large fast charging stations on its business parks, mostly located along main roads in West

Flanders. The fast charging stations can cater hundreds of electric vehicles per day at a charging speed of up to 300 kW. All the power will be from local sun and wind parks in Belgium.

The fast charging stations will be realised on WVI business parks next to high traffic roads. As an extension of 54 West Flemish municipalities, WVI has selected Fastned on the basis of an extensive selection process to build fast charging stations on the in total five available locations. The first two concession agreements for a station in Roeselare and Ostend have now been signed. These stations will be completed next year. The other locations will be realised in the coming years. Fastned expects to build a large charging station at each location where up to 16 vehicles can charge simultaneously.
