Fastned's Raad van Commissarissen draagt twee nieuwe leden voor

Amsterdam, 17 maart 2020. De Raad van Commissarissen (RvC) van Fastned, het laadbedrijf dat bouwt aan een Europees netwerk van snellaadstations, draagt Marieke Bax en Marije van Mens voor als nieuwe commissarissen.

Op de Algemene Vergadering van Aandeelhouders van 4 juni 2020 zullen Marieke Bax en Marije van Mens worden voorgedragen als commissaris bij Fastned. Tijdens dezelfde vergadering zal commissaris Hans Streng afscheid nemen. Indien de benoemingen doorgaan, zal de RvC van Fastned als gevolg hiervan bestaan uit vier commissarissen.

Bart Lubbers, mede-oprichter van Fastned en voorzitter van de RvC: "Ik ben zeer verheugd met de voordracht van Marieke Bax en Marije van Mens in de Raad van Commissarissen. Marieke Bax (1961) heeft een master rechten (Amsterdam en Cambridge) en volgde een MBA aan INSEAD Fontainebleau. Na een internationale carrière (o.a. bij Sara Lee Corporation), werkte ze als CFO van een start-up en had ze een eigen bedrijf. Naast een aantal commissariaten, waaronder voorzitter van de auditcommissie bij Vion Food Group, adviseert ze nu bij Deloitte inzake de samenwerking van traditionele industrie (met name op het gebied van voeding) en nieuwe technologieën.

Marije van Mens (1981), behaalde een master in politicologie en verkreeg een MBA aan Columbia Business School. Ze begon haar carrière bij The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) en was daarna werkzaam bij Marqt als hoofd Buying and Merchandising en later als directeur van de versafdelingen. Sinds 2018 werkt ze bij de Gemeente Amsterdam als programmaleider bij het stedelijk strategieteam. Daarnaast is ze lid van de Raad van Toezicht en voorzitter van de auditcommissie bij de VPRO.

Over Fastned

Fastned bouwt aan een Europees netwerk van snellaadstations waar alle volledig elektrische auto's snel kunnen laden. De stations bevinden zich op A-locaties langs snelwegen en in steden, waar elektrische auto's in 15 minuten tot wel 200 km bereik bijladen. Fastned's Supervisory Board nominates two new members

Amsterdam, 17 March 2020. The Supervisory Board of Fastned, the charging company that is building a European network of fast charging stations, nominates Marieke Bax and Marije van Mens as new supervisory directors.

At the General Meeting of Shareholders on June 4, 2020, Marieke Bax and Marije van Mens will be nominated for the role of supervisory director. At the same meeting commissioner Hans Streng will resign his role as supervisory director. If the appointments are approved, the Supervisory Board of Fastned will consist of four supervisory directors.

Bart Lubbers, co-founder of Fastned and chairman of the Supervisory Board: "I am very pleased with the nomination of Marieke Bax and Marije van Mens on the Supervisory Board. Both have a lot of relevant experience and a strong affinity with Fastned's sustainable mission. I am therefore confident that they can mean a lot for Fastned."

Marieke Bax (1961) has a law degree (Amsterdam and Cambridge) and completed an MBA at INSEAD Fontainebleau. After an international career (amongst others at Sara Lee Corporation), she worked as a CFO for a start-up and ran her own company. In addition to a number of supervisory directorships, including chairman of the audit committee at Vion Food Group, she now advises Deloitte on cooperation between traditional industry (in particular in the field of food) and new technologies.

Marije van Mens (1981), holds a master's degree in political science and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She started her career at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and then worked at Marqt (a Dutch supermarket chain) as head of Buying and Merchandising and later as director of the fresh products departments. Since 2018, she has been working at the Municipality of Amsterdam as a program leader for the urban strategy team. She is also a member of the Supervisory Board and chairman of the audit committee at the VPRO.
