Balder acquires the hotel property Scandic Opalen in Gothenburg

Balder acquires the hotel property Scandic Opalen in central Gothenburg. The hotel area is 18 500 sq.m. and consist of, inter alia, 353 hotel rooms. Affixed property value amounts to approximately 550 million. The entire property is leased to Scandic Hotels AB on a long term contract.

"Scandic Opalen is a profile property with a very strategic location with close proximity to Ullevi, Scandinavium, Swedish Exhibition Centre, Liseberg as well as the Avenue," CEO Erik Selin.

Savills has been the seller´s advisor in the deal.
