The Fabasoft Group's business model is based on the sale of its own software products under the umbrella brand name Fabasoft and the provision of services related to these products. Products and services are sold to both private customers and clients in the public sector.
In the private sector market access is via Fabasoft's own sales and marketing organisation, which positions itself together with sales and implementation partners for potential new customers. Sales activities focus on companies that want to quickly and cost-efficiently implement electronic document management, records management, electronic collaboration – internal and cross-company – and the company-wide finding of information, on the one hand to achieve competitive advantage and on the other hand to fulfil ever increasing compliance requirements. The product families Fabasoft Folio, Fabasoft Mindbreeze and Fabasoft app.telemetry form the core of this business.
Fabasoft sees a particular unique advantage of its product offering in the integrated development environment for the agile and cost-effective creation, quality assurance and operational management of document-centric specialist applications.
Public sector customers are predominantly supported by Fabasoft's own sales companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Market access in these countries mainly takes place using a direct sales approach. The successful participation in public tenders is a key feature of this, especially in the case of business with new clients. Thematically, public sector business primarily centres around case and process management and eGovernment. The Fabasoft sales organisations have their own project organisations. If needed, these companies also take over as general contractor for project implementation and realise additional and follow-up projects. In addition, the company endeavours to establish and develop project partnerships with local providers in new geographies.
Alongside the conventional form of software usage in the customers' data centres (on-premise) Fabasoft also offers new usage models in the form of cloud services. Folio Cloud is a European software service for electronic document management and digital business processes in the Cloud. Folio Cloud is certified according to all relevant standards for security and reliability, e.g. ISO 27001,

Folio Cloud team rooms are a secure, protected area in the Cloud to which only people who are explicitly authorised, invited and reliably authenticated have access – anytime and anywhere, also with mobile access via tablets and smartphones. In den ersten neun Monaten des Geschäftsjahres 2012/2013 erzielte der Fabasoft Konzern Umsatzerlöse in der Höhe von TEUR 16.566 (TEUR 17.464 im Geschäftsjahr 2011/2012).
Bei einem EBITDA von TEUR 210 (TEUR 1.623 im Vergleichszeitraum des Vorjahres) lag das Betriebsergebnis (EBIT) bei TEUR -980 (TEUR 591 im Vergleichszeitraum des Vorjahres).
Die Eigenkapitalquote des Fabasoft Konzerns betrug zum Zwischenbilanzstichtag (31. Dezember 2012) 52,1% (55,3% zum 31. Dezember 2011). Der Bestand an liquiden Mitteln verringerte sich auf TEUR 9.765 zum 31. Dezember 2012 (TEUR 12.567 zum 31. Dezember 2011).
Zum Zwischenbilanzstichtag 31. Dezember 2012 beschäftigte der Fabasoft Konzern 200 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter (195 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter zum 31. Dezember 2011).
Im dritten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 2012/2013 (1. Oktober 2012 – 31. Dezember 2012) betrugen die Umsatzerlöse des Fabasoft Konzerns TEUR 6.323 (TEUR 6.525 im Vergleichszeitraum des Vorjahres).

Fabasoft Cloud Plattform ausgezeichnet
Die Computerwoche zeichnet jährlich die besten Cloud-Anbieter im deutschsprachigen Raum mit dem "Best in Cloud Award" aus. Fabasoft erhielt im Oktober 2012 für das Projekt "Zertifikatsmanagement" den Preis in der Kategorie "Platform as a Service" gemeinsam mit dem Partner SSC-Service GmbH. Dieses Projekt wurde ebenfalls im Oktober 2012 mit dem ECM-Award 2012 Deutschland ausgezeichnet.
Die Cloud-App für das Zertifikatmanagement wurde von der SSC-Service GmbH entwickelt. Damit konnte das bisher aufwändige Management von Zertifikaten für den Export von Automobilen nach China optimiert und vereinfacht werden.

Fabasoft Cloud platform receives awards
Computerwoche magazine presents the "Best in Cloud Award" every year for the best cloud providers in the Germanspeaking countries. In October 2012 Fabasoft together with the partner SSC-Service GmbH won the prize in the category "Platform as a Service" for the project "Certificate Management". This project also won the "ECM-Award 2012 Deutschland" likewise in October 2012.
The cloud app for certificate management was developed by SSC-Service GmbH. Thanks to this development the previously time-consuming management of certificates for the export of cars to China was optimised and simplified.
Fabasoft im Gartner Magic Quadrant für Enterprise Content Management vertreten
Im Oktober 2012 wurde Fabasoft erneut in den Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management aufgenommen. Die amerikanische Analystengruppe Gartner Inc. identifiziert in dieser Aufstellung international marktrelevante Anbieter in diesem Segment.
In der Studie weist Gartner Inc. darauf hin, dass viele Unternehmen sich von den grundlegenden Anwendungen von ECM (wie z.B. sichere Speicherung von Dateien in organisierten Bibliotheken) hinbewegen zu weiterführenden geschäftlichen Anforderungen, die auch starke Prozesseffizienz benötigen.
Kooperation mit Schweizer Integrationsradio Radio Blind Power
Im November 2012 startet Fabasoft die Partnerschaft für Usability & Accessibility mit dem Schweizer Integrationsradio Radio Blind Power. Im Rahmen der Kooperation arbeitet die Organisation gemeinsam mit Fabasoft an der laufenden Verbesserung von Folio Cloud für Menschen mit besonderen Bedürfnissen.
Radio Blind Power beweist, dass auch sehbehinderte und blinde Menschen in herkömmlichen Radiobetrieben arbeiten können, dafür muss nur die eingesetzte Software für sehbehinderte Menschen bedienbar sein. Folio Cloud erfüllt diese Anforderung, da alle Bedienelemente per Tastatur bedienbar sind und die Möglichkeit besteht, die Oberfläche in unterschiedlichen Schriftgrößen anzeigen zu lassen. Alle Bedienelemente wurden mit der WAI-ARIA Technologie angereichert, sodass blinde Anwenderinnen und Anwender von Bildschirmleseprogrammen den Eindruck einer Desktopanwendung bekommen. Sie werden über Sprachausgabe oder Braille-Zeile genau informiert werden, wo sie sich gerade befinden und welche Eingaben dort erforderlich sind.
In Rahmen der Partnerschaft liefert Radio Blind Power Feedback an das Fabasoft Usability & Accessibility Team mit dem gemeinsamen Ziel einer fortlaufenden Optimierung der Barrierefreiheit von Folio Cloud.
Ausrollung Fabasoft eGov-Suite in weiteren Organisationen des schweizerischen Bundes und in den Kantonen
Im dritten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 2012/3013 hat das Bundesamt für Polizei mit der Ausrollung der Fabasoft eGov-Suite begonnen und das Bundesamt für Migration einen flächendeckenden Ausrollungsgrad realisiert.
Das Eidgenössische Justiz- und Polizeidepartement verfolgt im Einsatzgebiet GEVER (Geschäftsverwaltung) ein departementales Vorgehen mit einer zentralen Programmleitung auf Stufe des Generalsekretariats.
Das Amt für Migration und Personenstand des Kantons Bern hat sich entschieden, seine Lösung auf Basis der Fabasoft eGov-Suite CHE auf die neuste Version zu heben und gleichzeitig eine Near-Line Ablage zur Aufbewahrung seiner Dossiers mit Fabasoft iArchive zu realisieren. Online-Service-Lösung von WK OÖ und WIFI OÖ erweitert
Anfang November 2012 wurde in der Wirtschaftskammer Oberösterreich ("WK OÖ") und im Wirtschaftsförderungsinstitut Oberösterreich ("WIFI OÖ") eine erweiterte, angepasste Lösung für die bereits bestehenden Online-Services implementiert. Das Kundenportal (elektronische Kursanmeldung) wurde weiterentwickelt und funktional erweitert. Das neue Modul "Trainernachrichten" sorgt für eine bessere Kommunikation zwischen WIFI-Kursverantwortlichen und Trainern. Alle gespeicherten Kontaktdaten können seit November 2012 auch direkt von den Kunden online geändert (Kontaktdaten-Änderungsservice) und automatisch in der Geschäftspartner-Datenbank aktualisiert werden.

In this study Gartner Inc. points out that many companies are moving away from the basic applications of ECM (such as e.g. safe storage of files in organised libraries) to advanced business requirements which also require high process efficiency.
Collaboration with Swiss integration radio Radio Blind Power
In November 2012 Fabasoft launched the partnership for usability & accessibility with the Swiss integration radio service Radio Blind Power. Within the framework of the collaboration the organisation works with Fabasoft on the continuous improvement of Folio Cloud for people with special needs.
Radio Blind Power proves that visually impaired and blind people can also work at conventional radio stations; all that is required is that the software that is used has to be suitable for use by visually impaired people, too. Folio Cloud fulfils this requirement as all operating elements are operable via keyboard and it is possible to display the user interface in a variety of font sizes. All operating elements are enhanced with WAI-ARIA technology so that blind users have the impression of a desktop application from screen reader programs. Users receive via language output or Braille line exact information on where they are at that moment and which inputs are necessary there.
As part of the partnership Radio Blind Power gives feedback to the Fabasoft Usability & Accessibility Team with the joint objective of continuing to optimise the barrier-free access of Folio Cloud.

In the third quarter of the fiscal year 2012/3013 the Federal Office of Police began to roll out Fabasoft eGov-Suite and the Federal Office for Migration realised a comprehensive degree of deployment.
The Swiss Federal Department of Justice and Police pursues a departmental approach in the GEVER (business administration) area of use with central programming management at General Secretariat level.
The Office for Migration and Civil Status of the canton of Bern has decided to upgrade its solution based on Fabasoft eGov-Suite CHE to the latest version and at the same time realise a nearline storage system to archive its dossiers using Fabasoft iArchive. The intention is for project work to be implemented within the framework of the Joint Development Program Initiative (software development partnership).

Online service solution expanded at WK OÖ and WIFI OÖ
An expanded and adapted solution for the existing online services was implemented at the beginning of November 2012 at the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WK OÖ) and the Upper Austrian business promotion institute (WIFI OÖ). Modifications were made to the client portal (electronic course registration) and functions were expanded. The new module "Trainer News" ensures better communication between WIFI course managers and trainers. Since November 2012 clients have been able to edit all stored contact data direct (contact data editing service) which are then updated automatically in the business partner database.
Zusätzlich erfolgte eine Neuimplementierung der Wissensdatenbank auf Basis von Mindbreeze für einen schnelleren und umfassenderen Zugriff auf Informationen im gesamten WK/WIFI-System für die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter.

Die größte europäische Gartner Veranstaltung fand vom 5. bis 8. November 2012 in Barcelona statt. Unter dem Thema "Focus.Connect.Lead." trafen sich über 4000 IT-Professionals um die Herausforderungen an CIOs in einer sich ständig ändernden IT-Landschaft zu diskutieren.
Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung referierte ein Fabasoft-Vertreter zu dem Thema "Modern Enterprise Architecture – Hybrid Cloud Model for SPAR International".
Teilnahme an der Messe Moderner Staat in Berlin
Vom 6. bis 7. November 2012 trafen sich über 3.000 Spitzenvertreter aus Bund, Ländern und Kommunen in Berlin. Fabasoft präsentiert das breite Nutzungsspektrum der Fabasoft Produkte hinsichtlich der elektronischen Verwaltungsarbeit. Konkret wurden neben der E-Vorgangsbearbeitung und der E-Akte auch E-Collaboration und die Vorteile einer semantischen Suche in Live-Demos gezeigt.
Fabasoft Cloud Developer Conference 2012 Winter mit Business-Day
Partner, Systemintegratoren, Entwicklerinnen und Entwickler besuchten die Fabasoft Cloud Developer Conference 2012 Winter vom 12. bis 14. Dezember in Linz. Der erste und der dritte Konferenztag standen im Zeichen der App-Entwicklung. In Workshops und Vorträge erhielten die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer Wissen rund um die modellbasierte Umsetzung von Business-Anwendungen mit der Fabasoft Cloud Plattform und dem Eclipse Modeling Framework vermittelt.
Am neu konzipierten Business-Day (13. Dezember 2012) diskutierten Geschäftsführer, IT-Verantwortliche und namhafte Experten über die Vorteile der unterschiedlichen Cloud Varianten (Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Hybrid Cloud) und wie diese Technologien effizient in Unternehmen eingesetzt werden können.
Austrian Institute of Technology nutzt Fabasoft Folio Cloud
Im Dezember 2012 entschied das Safety & Security Department des Austrian Institute of Technology für die interne und externe Zusammenarbeit bei Forschungsprojekten Folio Cloud einzusetzen. Im Endausbau sollen alleine im Safety & Security Department mehr als 200 Personen mit Folio Cloud arbeiten.
Das Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) ist Österreichs größte außeruniversitäre Forschungseinrichtung und Europas Spezialist für die zentralen Infrastrukturthemen der Zukunft. Mehr als 1100 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter forschen in ganz Österreich an den Hauptstandorten Wien Tech Gate, Wien TECHbase, Seibersdorf, Wr. Neustadt, Ranshofen und Leoben.
Produkte, Forschung und Entwicklung
Im dritten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 2012/2013 lag der Schwerpunkt der Forschungs- und Entwicklungstätigkeit im Fabasoft Konzern auf der Weiterentwicklung des bestehenden Produkt-Portfolios für private Unternehmen und die öffentliche Verwaltung.
Fabasoft Folio Cloud
Die Vorbereitungen für die Folio Cloud Lokation "Schweiz" standen im Mittelpunkt des Folio Cloud Produkt Teams. Jede Cloud Lokation ist ein für sich autarkes System, das in einem bestimmten Land oder bei einem bestimmten Kunden von Fabasoft betrieben wird. Die Folio Cloud Lokationen erlauben Nutzerinnen und Nutzern den Speicherort der Daten selbst festzulegen. In der Arbeitsumgebung wählt die Nutzerin oder der Nutzer die Lokation aus und bestimmt dadurch, wo die Daten (wie Teamrooms, Ordner, Dokumente und sonstige Anwendungsdaten) gespeichert werden. Mit der Folio Cloud Lokation "Schweiz", die seit Ende Januar 2013 zur Verfügung steht, können Folio Cloud Nutzerinnen und Nutzer ihre Daten nun bereits in drei Lokationen (zusätzlich zu den Folio Cloud Lokationen Deutschland und Österreich) sicher verwahren.
Additionally there was a new implementation of the knowledge database based on Mindbreeze for faster and more comprehensive access to information in the WK/WIFI system as a whole for employees.
Gartner Symposium/ITExpo in Barcelona
The biggest European Gartner event was held from 5 to 8 November 2012 in Barcelona. With the theme entitled "Focus.Connect.Lead." over 4,000 IT professionals gathered to discuss the challenges facing CIOs in an ever changing IT landscape.
A representative of Fabasoft was there to present the topic "Modern Enterprise Architecture - Hybrid Cloud Model for SPAR International" as part of the event.
Fabasoft at the trade fair Moderner Staat in Berlin
Over 3,000 top federal, state and municipal representatives met in Berlin on 6 and 7 November 2012. Fabasoft presented the broad spectrum of use of the Fabasoft products with regard to electronic administration work. Besides eWorkflow and eFile, eCollaboration and the benefits of a semantic search were shown in live demonstrations.
Fabasoft Cloud Developer Conference 2012 Winter with Business Day
Partners, system integrators and developers attended the Fabasoft Cloud Developer Conference 2012 Winter from 12 to 14 December in Linz. The first and the third days of the conference were devoted to app development. Attendees learned more about the model-based implementation of business apps with the Folio Cloud platform and the Eclipse Modelling Framework in a number of speeches and workshops.
The new Business Day (13 December 2012) saw CEOs, IT managers and prominent experts discuss the benefits of the various cloud options (Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Hybrid Cloud) and how these technologies can be used efficiently in companies.
Austrian Institute of Technology using Fabasoft Folio Cloud
In December 2012 the Safety & Security Department of the Austrian Institute of Technology for internal and external collaboration decided to use Folio Cloud for research projects. The intention is for over 200 users in the Safety & Security Department alone to work with Folio Cloud.
The Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) is Austria's largest non-university research institute and Europe's specialist for the central infrastructure themes of the future. Over 1,100 employees carry out research activities throughout Austria at the main locations at Vienna Tech Gate, Vienna TECHbase, Seibersdorf, Wiener Neustadt, Ranshofen and Leoben.
Products, Research and Development
In the third quarter of the fiscal year 2012/2013 research and development activities of the Fabasoft Group focused on the continuing development of the existing product portfolio for private businesses and public administration.
Fabasoft Folio Cloud
Preparations for the Folio Cloud location "Switzerland" were the focal point for the Folio Cloud product team. Each cloud location is a self-sufficient system in its own right which is operated by Fabasoft in a particular country or at a particular client. The Folio Cloud locations allow users themselves to determine the place where their data are stored. The user selects the location in the user environment and thus specifies where the data (such as team rooms, folders, documents and other application data) are stored. With the Folio Cloud location "Switzerland", which has been available since the end of January 2013, Folio Cloud users can keep their data safe in what are now three locations (in addition to the Folio Cloud locations Germany and Austria).
Ein weiteres Augenmerk lag auf der Durchführung der Fabasoft Cloud Developer Conference 2012 Winter. In bis zu fünf parallelen Tracks wurde Cloud App Entwicklerinnen und Entwicklern vermittelt, wie sie mit Fabasoft Softwareprodukten eigene Apps entwickeln und in der Cloud Kundennutzen schaffen können. Bereits über 75 Cloud Apps sind im Fabasoft Cloud App Store verfügbar.
Fabasoft Folio
Ein Schwerpunkt in der Forschungs- und Entwicklungstätigkeit lag im Bereich des Geschäftsprozessmanagements. Mit einem neuen grafischen Modellierungswerkzeug können Geschäftsprozesse direkt im Fabasoft Folio Web Client modelliert werden. Als Notation wird der internationale Standard "BPMN 2.0" der OMG (Object Management Group) verwendet, wodurch Prozessdiagramme einfach zwischen unterschiedlichen Modellierungswerkzeugen ausgetauscht werden können. Die erstellten Prozessdiagramme können in weiterer Folge mit Workflow-Aktivitäten in Fabasoft Folio verknüpft und anschließend direkt digitalisiert ausgeführt werden. Damit erhält eine Endanwenderin/ein Endanwender höchstmögliche Flexibilität und Agilität im Bereich der Digitalisierung von Geschäftsprozessen.
Die Erstellung und Verwaltung benutzerdefinierter Formulare war ein Schwerpunkt im Bereich User-Interface: Für Endanwenderinnen und Endanwender ist es jetzt einfach möglich, Formulare zu entwerfen, die sich nahtlos in das bestehende System integrieren. Die Formulare wurden mit Hilfe von Kategorien und Vorlagen umgesetzt. Vorlagen (mit und ohne Dokument) können von den Benutzerinnen und Benutzern neu erzeugt und bearbeitet werden. Kategorien erlauben eine einfache Integration mit bestehenden Dokumenten. Sie können zugeordnet werden, um zusätzliche Metadaten zu einem Dokument zu erfassen. Die effiziente Verwaltung und Release-Fähigkeit der Formulare, Vorlagen und Kategorien in einem Team mit potentiell verschiedenen Rollen (Entwickler, Entscheider, Organisationsverantwortlicher) bildet einen Schwerpunkt der Enterprise-Lösung: Formulare werden als Entwurf erstellt und können nach einer Testphase publiziert und in der Organisation (Gruppen) zur Verwendung freigegeben werden.
Zum Thema Accessibility wurde die durchgängige Auszeichnung für generierte PDF-Dokumente umgesetzt. Bei der Umwandlung bestehender Dokumente (Microsoft Office, LibreOffice) wird die entsprechende Funktionalität der integrierten Produkte verwendet. Bei neu erzeugten oder zusammengesetzten Dokumenten werden die entsprechenden Metadaten im neu generierten PDF-Dokument angebracht.
Fabasoft eGov-Suite
Im dritten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 2012/2013 lag der Fokus auf der Entwicklung der Fabasoft eGov-Suite 2013 Edition AUT. (Österreichische Version der Fabasoft eGov-Suite). Der Schwerpunkt innerhalb der Edition AUT waren Umsetzungen im Bereich Workflow. Hier wurde die Konfigurierbarkeit des automatischen Einfügens/ Erweiterns von Prozessen und Aktivitäten für Geschäftsobjekte erweitert. So können Fachadministratoren an der Domäne und an Geschäftsobjekten Prozesse für spezielle Auslöser (z.B. Ablegen) konfigurieren. Außerdem wurde ein Sicherheitsmechanismus implementiert, der nun prüft, ob Prozesse nach dem Beenden der letzten Aktivität abgeschlossen werden sollen. Das verhindert, dass nicht erledigte Geschäftsobjekte im System ohne Zuständigkeit verbleiben.
Ein zweiter Schwerpunkt war die Weiterentwicklung der grafischen Oberfläche. Neben Optimierungen an den Formularen und Menüs erfolgte auch eine Anpassung der Objektsymbole.
Parallel zu den Entwicklungstätigkeiten wurden auch Upgrade-Projekte auf die Fabasoft eGov-Suite 2012 sowie auf die Fabasoft eGov-Suite 2013 durch die Produktentwicklung aktiv unterstützt.
Fabasoft Mindbreeze
beschäftigte sich im dritten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres mit der Konzipierung und Entwicklung des "Mindbreeze-Baukastens" sowie mit der semantischen Anreicherung von Dokumenten und Suchen auf Basis von Thesauri und reichhaltigen Daten. Mit dem "Mindbreeze-Baukasten" können Webanwender ohne HTML-Kenntnisse eigene Suchanwendungen erstellen und in eigene Webseiten einbetten. Durch Auswahl und Verschieben von vordefinierten Abfragen (visuelle Programmierung) wird die Suchabfrage festgelegt und gleichzeitig der richtige HTML-Code erstellt. Dieser muss nur noch in die Webseite kopiert werden, nach Integration aktualisiert Mindbreeze den Inhalt automatisch. Die semantische Anreicherung ist eine zusätzliche Phase vor der Suche (Query-Expansion) sowie zum Zeitpunkt des Prozessierens der Dokumente, damit können zusätzlich zur Analyse des Inhalts durch die Filter-Pipeline weitere Annotationen und Meta-Informationen hinzugefügt werden.
Another focal point was in the implementation of the Fabasoft Cloud Developer Conference 2012 Winter. Cloud app developers were shown in up to five parallel tracks how they can develop their own apps using Fabasoft software products and create customer benefits in the cloud. Over 75 cloud apps are already available in the Fabasoft Cloud App Store.
Fabasoft Folio
One focal point of research and development activities here was in the field of business process management. Business processes can be modelled directly in the Fabasoft Folio web client with a new graphic modelling tool. The international standard "BPMN 2.0" of the OMG (Object Management Group) is used as notation, thus enabling process diagrams to be exchanged easily between different modelling tools. The process diagrams generated can subsequently be linked to workflow activities in Fabasoft Folio and then executed direct and in digital form. This gives users the highest possible degree of flexibility and agility when digitising business processes.
The generation and administration of user-defined forms was a focal point in the user interface field with users now being able to easily design forms which can be seamlessly integrated in the existing system. The forms are realised with the help of categories and templates. Templates (with and without document) can be produced new by users and edited. Categories allow straightforward integration with existing documents. They can be assigned to record additional metadata for a document. The efficient administration and release capability of the forms, templates and categories in a team with potential roles (developer, decision maker, organisation manager) represents a focal point of the enterprise solution: forms are generated as a draft and can be published following a test phase and then released in the organisation (groups) for use.
With regard to accessibility, comprehensive assignment was implemented for PDF documents generated. The appropriate functionality of the integrated products is used when converting existing documents (Microsoft Office, LibreOffice). In the case of newly created or merged documents the respective metadata are applied in the newly generated PDF document.
Fabasoft eGov-Suite
In the third quarter of the fiscal year 2012/2013 development work concentrated on Fabasoft eGov-Suite 2013 Edition AUT (the Austrian version of Fabasoft eGov-Suite). The focus within Edition AUT was on implementations in the area of workflow. The configurability of the automatic addition/expansion of processes and activities for business objects was extended here. Specialist administrators can now configure processes for special triggers (e.g. filing) on the domain and on business objects. Furthermore a safety mechanism has been implemented which now checks whether processes should be completed when the last activity has been closed. This prevents any non-completed business objects from remaining in the system without responsibility.
A second focal point was the further development of the graphical interface. Besides optimising forms and menus, object icons have also been adapted.
Parallel to the development activities, product development also actively supported upgrade projects for Fabasoft eGov-Suite 2012 and Fabasoft eGov-Suite 2013.
Fabasoft Mindbreeze
concentrated on concept and development work for the Mindbreeze Module Kit in the third quarter of the fiscal year and on the semantic enhancement of documents and searches based on thesauri and comprehensive data. With the Mindbreeze Module Kit web users without HTML knowledge can create their own search applications and embed them in their own websites. The search query is determined through the selection and moving of predefined queries (visual programming) and the right HTML code is generated at the same time. This merely has to be copied into the website and following integration Mindbreeze updates the content automatically. Semantic enhancement is an additional phase prior to the search (query expansion) and at the time of processing the documents which enables you to add further annotations and meta information through the filter pipeline besides content analysis. Hierarchical faceting has likewise been implemented. Users can now navigate terms along the hierarchy and thus elegantly refine the search.
Ein hierarchisches Facettieren wurde dabei ebenfalls umgesetzt. Nutzerinnen und Nutzer können nun zum Beispiel Begriffe entlang der Hierarchie navigieren und somit elegant die Suche verfeinern. Mindbreeze "versteht" dass es sich dabei um hierarchische Begriffe handelt und verfeinert bei der Einschränkung automatisch auf die nächsten, untergeordneten Begriffe. Der Mindbreeze-Baukasten und die Infrastruktur für semantische Strukturen in Mindbreeze stehen ab der 2013 Winter Release für Mindbreeze InSite und Mindbreeze Cognition zur Verfügung.
Fabasoft app.ducx
Das Hauptaugenmerk im dritten Quartal lag auf dem Thema Geschäftsprozessmodellierung auf Basis des Standards "BPMN 2". Prozessdiagramme, die mit dem grafischen Modellierungswerkzeug im Fabasoft Folio Web Client bzw. dem Folio Cloud Web Client erstellt werden, können direkt in ein Fabasoft app.ducx Projekt importiert werden. Für eine optimale User-Experience sorgt ein eigens entwickelter Import-Wizard, der den Entwickler Schritt für Schritt anleitet. Die BPMN 2 Prozessbeschreibungen können direkt aus einer Folio Domäne oder vom lokalen Dateisystem importiert werden. Anschließend werden sie in eine "Business Process"-Datei umgewandelt, wo sie direkt verwendet oder erweitert werden können.
Um dem Ziel, die neuesten Technologien zu unterstützen, Rechnung zu tragen, wurde app.ducx auf Oracle Java 7 gehoben.
Fabasoft app.test
Ein wichtiger Punkt der Produktentwicklung im dritten Quartal war der Ausbau der Plattformunabhängigkeit durch die Unterstützung weiterer Webbrowserversionen, sowohl in 32 als auch in 64-Bit als auch die Erweiterung der unterstützten Betriebssystemversionen um Microsoft Windows 8. Im Sinne der Platform-as-a-Service-Strategie unterstützt Fabasoft app.test analog zu Fabasoft app.ducx Oracle Java 7.
Fabasoft app.telemetry
Das app.telemetry-Entwicklungsteam beschäftigte sich im dritten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres 2012/2013 mit der Erweiterung des Software Development Kits (SDK) für mobile Apps. Das SDK für mobile Apps (Android, Apple iOS) umfasst alle Grundfunktionen und ist im Download-Paket von Fabasoft app.telemetry 2013 Winter enthalten.
Feedback–Daten aus HeadsUp! User Engagement (vormals Fabasoft app.telemtery Cloud) können ab der 2013 Winter Release als Produktfehler oder Produktwunsch in Scrum Projekte, als Sales-Lead in das CRM oder als Unterstützungsanfrage in das Ticketing (Apps in Folio Cloud) übertragen werden. Darüber hinaus wurde an den individuellen Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten der Formulare gearbeitet. Anwenderinnen und Anwender haben nun die Möglichkeit, Ihre Formulare an das Layout der jeweiligen Website anzupassen.
Faba5
Der Schwerpunkt der Forschung und Entwicklung im Faba5-Team lag in der Optimierung der Integration von Fabasoft Folio Cloud Apps. Daten aus Apps können einfach über die neu geschaffene Web Service Schnittstelle und einer User Interface Komponente als HTML in Webseiten dargestellt werden. Damit lassen sich Informationen und Daten aus der Folio Cloud nahtlos in das Design und die Funktionalität der Website integrieren. Die Verwaltung von Bildern und Dateien für den Download erfolgt nun ausschließlich über Folio Cloud als "Content Repository". Diese können über einen einfach zu bedienenden "Datei Browser" ausgewählt und auf der Webseite hinzugefügt werden.
Darüber hinaus wurde eine Blogfunktionalität in Faba5 erstellt, um Blogartikel direkt im Web-Editor erfassen und mit den nötigen Schlagworten versehen zu können. Ein Import von bereits bestehenden Artikeln aus Drittprodukten steht ebenfalls ab dem dritten Geschäftsjahresquartal 2012/2013 zur Verfügung. Die Formatierungen und Bilder bleiben beim Import erhalten.
Im Bereich "Responsive Design" erfolgten weitere Optimierungen, um eine noch bessere Darstellung auf unterschiedlichen mobilen Endgeräten zu gewährleisten.
Mindbreeze "understands" that these are hierarchical terms and refines automatically to the next, subordinate terms in the limitation process. The Mindbreeze Module Kit and the infrastructure for semantic structures in Mindbreeze will be available from the 2013 Winter Release for Mindbreeze InSite and Mindbreeze Cognition.
Fabasoft app.ducx
The main focus here in the third quarter was on the theme of business process modelling based on the BPMN 2 standard. Process diagrams generated with the graphic modelling tool in the Fabasoft Folio Web Client/Folio Cloud Web Client can be imported direct in a Fabasoft app.ducx project. A specially developed import wizard which guides the developer step-by-step ensures an optimum user experience. The BPMN 2 process descriptions can be imported direct from a Folio domain or from the local file system. They are then converted into a "business process" file where they can be used or extended directly.
In line with the objective of supporting the latest technologies, app.ducx has been raised to Oracle Java 7.
Fabasoft app.test
An important focus in product development in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2012/2013 was the expansion of platform independence through the support of additional web browsers, both in 32 and 64 bit, plus the addition of Microsoft Windows 8 to the operating system versions which are supported. In the sense of the platform-as-a-service strategy, Fabasoft app.test supports (in the same way as Fabasoft app.ducx) Oracle Java 7.
Fabasoft app.telemetry
In the third quarter of the fiscal year 2012/2013 the app.telemetry development team concentrated on the expansion of the Software Development Kit (SDK) for mobile apps. The SDK for mobile apps (Android, Apple iOS) features all basic functions and is included in the download package of Fabasoft app.telemetry 2013 Winter.
Feedback data from HeadsUp! User Engagement (previously Fabasoft app.telemtery Cloud) can be transferred as a product error or product wish to scrum projects, as sales lead to the CRM or as a support inquiry to ticketing (apps in Folio Cloud) from the 2013 Winter Release. Work has also been carried out on the individual design possibilities of the forms. Users now have the opportunity to adapt their forms to the layout of the respective website.
Faba5
The focus of research and development in the Faba5 team was on the optimisation of the integration of Fabasoft Folio Cloud apps. Data from apps can be shown easily via the newly created web service interface and a user interface component as HTML in websites. This means that information and data from Folio Cloud can be integrated seamlessly in the design and functionality of the website. Management of images and files for the download now takes place exclusively via Folio Cloud as a content repository. These can be selected using an easy-to-operate file browser and added to the website.
Additionally a blog functionality has been created in Faba5 to record blog articles direct in the web editor and give them the necessary keywords. An import of existing articles from third-party products will likewise be available from the third quarter of the 2012/2013 fiscal year. Formatting and images are retained in the import.
There were further optimisations in the field of responsive design to ensure even better presentation on various mobile end devices.
Ausblick
Im Bereich der öffentlichen Auftraggeber betreut Fabasoft eine Reihe von Bestandskunden im europäischen Raum. Dieses Geschäft bildet erfahrungsgemäß einen stabilen Umsatzkern, wobei sich auch hier die Sparvorgaben der öffentlichen Hand erkennbar auswirken. Die nach wie vor instabile Wirtschaftslage in Europa verbunden mit deutlichen Budgeteinschränkungen im öffentlichen Sektor lässt Entscheidungsträger mit Zurückhaltung reagieren und führt vielfach zu Verschiebungen und Einschränkungen von geplanten Projekten. Allgemein unterliegt das Geschäft mit den öffentlichen Auftraggebern deutlichen Schwankungen zwischen den Geschäftsjahresquartalen.
Neukundengewinnung erfolgt im Bereich der öffentlichen Auftraggeber nahezu ausschließlich über hochkompetitive öffentliche Ausschreibungen mit den damit verbundenen Vorlaufzeiten. Fabasoft positioniert sich hier im Wettbewerb speziell über ausgezeichnete Referenzen, kundennahe Produktinnovationen und erfahrene Umsetzungsteams. Im Feld der Bestandskunden soll über Erweiterung des Kreises der Anwenderinnen und Anwender sowie über Zusatzprojekte Geschäft und ergänzende Dienstleistungen generiert werden.
Im Bereich der privaten Auftraggeber beeinflussen ebenfalls die gesamtwirtschaftlichen Entwicklungen sowie die Entwicklungen ihrer Zielgruppen und Zielmärkte die Investitionsfreudigkeit. Eine anhaltende Zurückhaltung bei Investitionen aufgrund der unsicheren Lage im EU-Raum kann nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Es werden verstärkt Anstrengungen unternommen, neue Nutzungsmodelle am Markt zu etablieren und die Marktteilnehmer für die Vorteile der Fabasoft-Lösungen zu sensibilisieren. Beispielsweise bietet Fabasoft nunmehr die Speicherung der Cloud-Daten nach Geografien. Die Erhöhung der Bekanntheit soll über verstärkte Marketing- und PR-Aktivitäten geschaffen werden. Speziell wird auch daran gearbeitet, ausgehend von der positiven Aufnahme der kostenfreien Cloud-Angebote, verstärkt unternehmensorientierte und bezahlte Cloud-Leistungen zu verkaufen.
Im 3. Geschäftsjahresquartal (1. Oktober 2012 – 31. Dezember 2012) konnte nicht zuletzt durch ein erstarkendes Neulizenzgeschäft die Verlustzone verlassen werden. Für das bevorstehende 4. Geschäftsjahresquartal (1. Januar 2013 – 31. Outlook
In the public client sector, Fabasoft has placed its know-how at the disposal of a number of existing European clients. Experience shows that this business represents a stable core source of revenue, despite cutbacks in the public sector having recognisable effects. Ongoing economic instability in Europe combined with significant cutbacks in the public sector mean that decision-makers act with restraint, in many cases resulting in postponement and restriction of planned projects. Overall business with customers in the public sector is subject to significant fluctuations from one quarter of the fiscal year to the next.
The acquisition of new customers in the public sector takes place almost solely in the form of highly competitive tenders with equally challenging lead times. In the face of competition Fabasoft positioned itself especially via excellent references, client-focused product innovations and experienced implementation teams. The intention is to generate business with existing customers through additional projects and additional services and by widening the circle of users.
In the private sector the willingness to invest is also influenced by overall economic developments as well as the development of their own target groups and target markets. Consequently, a continued climate of caution with regard to investment cannot be ruled out because of the economic instability in the EU. Fabasoft will intensify efforts to establish new use models and to increase awareness of Fabasofts' software solutions benefits. For example, from now on Fabasoft offers cloud data storage based on geographies. Marketing and PR activities will be intensified in order to heighten the level of awareness. A particular focus is also being placed on strengthening the sale of business-oriented and paid cloud services based on the positive take-up of the free cloud offerings.
In the third quarter of the fiscal year (1 October 2012 – 31 December 2012), not least thanks to a strengthening new license business, the company has moved out of the red. For the upcoming fourth quarter of the fiscal year (1 January 2013 – 31 March 2013) several interesting opportunities for license business are emerging as a result of new clients and extension projects for existing clients. To what extent these opportunities will be realised remains open.

Anhang zum Konzernzwischenabschluss zum 31. Dezember 2012
1) Grundlegende Informationen
Fabasoft ist ein europäischer Softwarehersteller für Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Compliance, Electronic Government und MoReq2-zertifizierter Information Governance sowie ein Anbieter von Cloud Services für die sichere und zuverlässige Zusammenarbeit von Unternehmen, Partnern und Kunden über das Internet. Die Muttergesellschaft ist eine Aktiengesellschaft mit Sitz in der Honauerstraße 4, 4020 Linz, Österreich. Die Aktien der Gesellschaft notieren im Prime Standard der Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse (WKN (D) 922985). Der Berichtszeitraum des Konzernzwischenabschlusses umfasst den Zeitraum vom 1. April bis 31. Dezember 2012.
2) Bilanzierungs- und Bewertungsgrundsätze
2.1. Grundlagen der Abschlusserstellung
Der Konzernzwischenabschluss zum 31. Dezember 2012 wurde in Übereinstimmung mit dem International Accounting Standard 34 (IAS 34) aufgestellt.
Der Konzernzwischenabschluss wurde nach dem historischen Anschaffungskostenprinzip aufgestellt, mit der Ausnahme von zur Veräußerung verfügbaren finanziellen Vermögenswerten, die mit dem Zeitwert zum Zwischenbilanzstichtag bewertet werden.
Die Aufstellung des Konzernzwischenabschlusses in Übereinstimmung mit den allgemein anerkannten Bilanzierungsund Bewertungsmethoden verlangt die Anwendung von Schätzungen und Annahmen, die die Höhe und den Ausweis der bilanzierten Vermögenswerte und Schulden sowie die offengelegten Eventualvermögenswerte und -verbindlichkeiten am Zwischenbilanzstichtag sowie die bilanzierten Erträge und Aufwendungen während der Berichtsperiode beeinflussen. Obwohl diese Schätzungen nach bestem Wissen auf den laufenden Transaktionen basieren, können die tatsächlichen Werte letztendlich von diesen Schätzungen abweichen.
Bei der Erstellung des Zwischenabschlusses wurden dieselben Bilanzierungs- und Bewertungsmethoden angewendet wie für den letzten vorliegenden Konzernabschluss zum 31. März 2012.
Der Konzernzwischenabschluss ist in tausend Euro (TEUR) aufgestellt, die Angaben im Anhang erfolgen ebenfalls in TEUR.
2.2. Konsolidierung
Die in den Konzernabschluss einbezogenen Zwischenabschlüsse der Tochterunternehmen wurden auf den einheitlichen Konzernzwischenabschlussstichtag 31. Dezember 2012 sowie nach IFRS, wie sie in der EU anzuwenden sind, aufgestellt.
2.2.1. Konsolidierungskreis
Zum Zwischenbilanzstichtag 31. Dezember 2012 sind neben der Fabasoft AG als Mutterunternehmen folgende Gesellschaften in den Konzernabschluss im Rahmen der Vollkonsolidierung einbezogen:

Fabasoft is a European manufacturer of software for enterprise content management (ECM), compliance, electronic government, MoReq2-certified information governance and a provider of cloud services for safe and reliable collaboration between companies, partners and customers over the internet.
The parent company is a stock corporation located in Honauerstrasse 4, 4020 Linz, Austria.
Company shares have been quoted in Prime Standard at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (WKN (D) 922985). The reported period for the consolidated interim financial statements is from 1 April to 31 December 2012.
2) Accounting policies
2.1. Basis of preparation
The consolidated interim financial statements dated 31 December 2012 were drawn up in compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standard 34 (IAS 34).
The consolidated interim financial statements were drawn up according to the historical cost principle, with the exception of available-for-sale financial assets which have been evaluated according to their market value on the interim balance sheet date.
The consolidated interim financial statements were drawn up in agreement with generally recognised accounting policies which require the use of estimates and assumptions. These estimates and assumptions influence the amount and return on assets and liabilities shown in the balance sheet, the disclosed contingent assets and liabilities on the interim balance sheet date as well as the income and expenditures shown on the balance sheet for the period under consideration. Although these estimates are calculated to the best knowledge based on current transactions, actual values may deviate from these estimates.
In the process of drawing up these interim financial statements, we have consistently applied the same accounting and valuation methods as for the previous consolidated accounts for 31 March 2012.
The consolidated interim financial statements are prepared in thousands of Euros (EUR tsd), as are entries in the notes.
2.2. Consolidation
The annual financial statements of subsidiaries included in the consolidated financial statements were drawn up Groupwide on 31 December 2012 and in accordance with IFRS, as applicable in the EU.
2.2.1. Consolidation scope

2.2.2. Änderungen im Konsolidierungskreis
Laut Optionsvertrag vom 30. Juni 2011 wurden 20% der Geschäftsanteile der Fabasoft Medical GmbH, gehalten von Dieter Scharnagl und Thomas Hauser, an die Fabasoft AG abgetreten. Die Fabasoft AG hält somit 100% des Stammkapitals der Fabasoft Medical GmbH.
2.2.3. Währungsumrechnung
Die Zwischenabschlüsse in fremder Währung wurden zu den jeweiligen Mittelkursen umgerechnet. Dabei kamen bei den Posten der Bilanz die Kurse zum Zwischenbilanzstichtag, bei den Posten der Gesamtergebnisrechnung die Durchschnittskurse des Berichtszeitraumes zur Anwendung. Differenzen dieser Währungsumrechnungen werden im sonstigen Ergebnis ausgewiesen. Kursdifferenzen aus der Umrechnung von Transaktionen und Bilanzposten in fremden Währungen werden zu den im Transaktionszeitpunkt bzw. Bewertungszeitpunkt gültigen Kursen erfolgswirksam erfasst.

2.2.2. Changes to the scope of consolidation
Further to the option contract of 30 June 2011 20% of the shares of the company Fabasoft Medical GmbH, held by Dieter Scharnagl and Thomas Hauser, were transferred to Fabasoft AG. Fabasoft AG thus holds 100% of the capital stock of Fabasoft Medical GmbH.
2.2.3. Foreign currency translation
Interim financial statements in foreign currencies have been translated at the average relevant exchange rate. According to this method, the items on the interim balance sheet were translated at the exchange rates valid on the interim balance sheet date, whereas the items on the statement of comprehensive income were translated at the average exchange rate for the reported period. Differences in these currency conversions are recorded in the other result. Exchange difference which may occur when converting transactions and accounting items into foreign currencies are calculated using the valid exchange rate at the time of the transaction or valuation.
3) Erläuterungen zur Bilanz und zur Gesamtergebnisrechnung
3.1. Investitionen
Die Investitionen in Sachanlagen und immaterielle Vermögensgegenstände betreffen im Wesentlichen Hardware und sonstige Büroeinrichtung.
3.2. Eigenkapital
Zum Stichtag 31. Dezember 2012 beträgt das Grundkapital der Gesellschaft TEUR 5.000. Es setzt sich aus 5.000.000 Stückaktien (Vorjahr: 5.000.000) zum Nennbetrag von EUR 1,00 je Aktie zusammen.
Die Kapitalrücklage in Höhe von TEUR 9.296 setzt sich im Wesentlichen aus Agio zusammen.
In der ordentlichen Hauptversammlung der Fabasoft AG am 3. Juli 2012 wurden unter anderem folgende Beschlüsse gefasst:
Für das Geschäftsjahr 2011/2012 wird eine Dividende in Höhe von EUR 0,15 pro Aktie ausgeschüttet.
Der Vorstand wird für die Dauer von 30 Monaten ermächtigt, eigene Aktien gemäß den Bestimmungen des § 65 Abs. 1 Z 4 AktG für Zwecke der Ausgabe an Arbeitnehmer, leitende Angestellte und Mitglieder des Vorstandes der Gesellschaft oder eines verbundenen Unternehmens bis zu einem maximalen Anteil von 10% des Grundkapitals der Gesellschaft zu erwerben. Der beim Rückerwerb zulässige Gegenwert darf höchstens 10% über und geringstenfalls 20% unter dem durchschnittlichen Börseschlusskurs im Xetrahandel der Deutschen Börse AG der letzten 5 Börsehandelstage vor der Festlegung des Kaufpreises liegen.
4) Geldflussrechnung
Die Geldflussrechnung wurde nach der indirekten Methode erstellt. Aus ihr ist die Veränderung der liquiden Mittel im Konzern im Laufe des Berichtszeitraumes durch Mittelzuflüsse und -abflüsse ersichtlich.
Innerhalb der Geldflussrechnung wird zwischen Zahlungsströmen aus laufender Geschäftstätigkeit, Investitionstätigkeit und Finanzierungstätigkeit unterschieden.
3) Notes to the balance sheet and the consolidated statement of comprehensive income
3.1. Investments
The purchases of property, plant and equipment and intangible assets mainly concern hardware and other office equipment.
3.2. Equity
As at 31 December 2012, the company's share capital was EUR 5,000 tsd. It is comprised of 5,000,000 individual shares (previous year: 5,000,000) at a nominal value of EUR 1.00 per share.
Capital reserves in the order of EUR 9,296 tsd consist primarily of premiums.
The following resolutions, among others, were made at the Fabasoft AG annual general meeting on 3 July 2012:
A dividend of EUR 0.15 per share shall be paid out for the fiscal year 2011/2012.
The Managing Board is authorised for the period of 30 months to acquire its own shares pursuant to § 65 Section 1 No. 4 of the Austrian Stock Corporation Act for the purpose of issuing them to employees, company executives and members of the Managing Board of the company or an affiliated company and up to a maximum holding of 10% of the total share capital of the company. The equivalent value permissible at repurchase must not exceed 10% above and must not be 20% at the least below the average price at the close of Xetra trading on the Deutsche Börse AG of the last 5 stock exchange trading days prior to the fixing of the purchase price.
4) Cash flow statement
The cash flow statement has been drawn up according to the indirect method. It shows the change in cash and cash equivalents for the Group during the reporting period through the inflow and outflow of funds.
On the cash flow statement, a differentiation is made between payment flows from current business, investment and financing activities.

The fair value of the options was calculated using the Black-Scholes valuation model. The key parameters for the valuation model are the share price on the grant date, the exercise price, the option period and the risk-free interest rate for the respective term at the time of the option grant.

Bericht über die prüferische Durchsicht des verkürzten Konzernzwischenabschlusses zum 31. Dezember 2012
Einleitung
Wir haben den beigefügten verkürzten Konzernzwischenabschluss der Fabasoft AG, Linz, für den Zeitraum vom 1. April bis 31. Dezember 2012 prüferisch durchgesehen. Der verkürzte Konzernzwischenabschluss umfasst die Konzernzwischenbilanz zum 31. Dezember 2012, die Konzerngesamtergebnisrechnung, die Konzerngeldflussrechnung und die Konzerneigenkapitalveränderungsrechnung für den Zeitraum vom 1. April bis 31. Dezember 2012 sowie erläuternde Anhangsangaben.
Die gesetzlichen Vertreter der Gesellschaft sind für die Aufstellung dieses verkürzten Konzernzwischenabschlusses in Übereinstimmung mit den IFRS für Zwischenberichterstattung, wie sie in der EU anzuwenden sind, verantwortlich.
Unsere Verantwortung ist es, auf Grundlage unserer prüferischen Durchsicht eine zusammenfassende Beurteilung über diesen verkürzten Konzernzwischenabschluss abzugeben. Unsere Verantwortlichkeit und Haftung für nachgewiesene Vermögensschäden auf Grund einer fahrlässigen Pflichtverletzung bei der Durchführung unserer Arbeiten wird analog § 275 Abs. 2 UGB (Haftungsregelung bei der Prüfung einer kleinen oder mittelgroßen Gesellschaft) mit EUR 2 Mio. begrenzt. Die mit dem Auftraggeber vereinbarte und hier offengelegte Beschränkung unserer Haftung gilt auch gegenüber jedem Dritten, der im Vertrauen auf unseren Bericht Handlungen setzt oder unterlässt.
Umfang der prüferischen Durchsicht
Wir haben die prüferische Durchsicht unter Beachtung der in Österreich geltenden gesetzlichen Vorschriften und berufsüblichen Grundsätze sowie des International Standard on Review Engagements 2410 "Prüferische Durchsicht des Zwischenabschlusses durch den unabhängigen Abschlussprüfer der Gesellschaft" durchgeführt. Die prüferische Durchsicht eines Zwischenabschlusses umfasst Befragungen, in erster Linie von für das Finanz- und Rechnungswesen verantwortlichen Personen, sowie analytische Beurteilungen und sonstige Erhebungen. Eine prüferische Durchsicht ist von wesentlich geringerem Umfang und umfasst geringere Nachweise als eine Abschlussprüfung und ermöglicht es uns daher nicht, eine mit einer Abschlussprüfung vergleichbare Sicherheit darüber zu erlangen, dass uns alle wesentlichen Sachverhalte bekannt werden. Aus diesem Grund erteilen wir keinen Bestätigungsvermerk.
Zusammenfassende Beurteilung
Auf Grundlage unserer prüferischen Durchsicht sind uns keine Sachverhalte bekannt geworden, die uns zu der Annahme veranlassen, dass der beigefügte verkürzte Konzernzwischenabschluss in allen wesentlichen Belangen nicht in Übereinstimmung mit den IFRS für Zwischenberichterstattung, wie sie in der EU anzuwenden sind, aufgestellt worden ist.

Report on the auditors' review of the Consolidated Interim Financial Statements as at 31 December 2012
Introduction
We have reviewed the accompanying condensed consolidated interim financial statements of Fabasoft AG, Linz, for the nine months ended 31 December 2012. The condensed consolidated interim financial statements comprise the consolidated interim balance sheet as at 31 December 2012, the consolidated statement of comprehensive income, the consolidated cash flow statement and the consolidated statement of changes in equity for the period from 1 April to 31 December 2012 and explanatory notes.
The preparation of these condensed consolidated financial statements in accordance with the IFRS for interim reporting, as adopted in the EU, is the responsibility of the statutory representatives of the company.
Our responsibility is to issue a summarised evaluation of these condensed consolidated interim financial statements on the basis of our review. Analogous to § 275 Para. 2 (Regulation of Liability during the Auditing of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises) of the Austrian Commercial Code, our responsibility and liability for proven damages derived from the gross negligence of our obligations during the completion of our assignment is limited to EUR 2 million. The limitation of our liability agreed with the client and published here also applies to third parties who undertake or refrain from activities on the basis of trust in our report.
Scope of review
We conducted our review in accordance with the applicable Austrian laws and professional principles, plus the International Standard on Review Engagements 2410, "Review of Interim Financial Information Performed by the Independent Auditor of the Entity". A review of interim financial information comprises interrogations, primarily of persons responsible for financial and accounting matters, and applying analytical and other investigative review procedures. A review is substantially less in scope and also provides less evidence than an audit and consequently does not enable us to obtain assurance that we would become aware of all significant matters that might be identified in an audit. Accordingly, we do not express an audit opinion.
Overall conclusion
Our review did not reveal any facts that would lead us to assume that the accompanying condensed consolidated interim financial statements are not in compliance in all material respects with the IFRS for interim reporting, as adopted in the European Union.
