EXPERIENCE CO COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF TROPICAL JOURNEYS
Experience Co Limited ( EXP or “the Company”) hereby confirms the completion of the company’s business acquisition of Tropical Journeys, yesterday evening.
Tropical Journeys was founded in 1999 and operates under a number of different brands, including Calypso Snorkel and Dive, Aquarius Sailing, and Daintree Tours. Its primary product, Calypso, offers snorkelling and diving tours to Low Isles and the Great Barrier outer-reef departing from Port Douglas, North Queensland. The company also offers twilight sailing tours through Aquarius sailing and personalised tours through the Daintree National Park via Daintree Tours.
Executive Director and CEO of EXP, Mr Anthony Ritter, said the Tropical Journeys acquisition further strengthens EXP’s position in the adventure tourism and experience market.
“Tropical Journeys is a world-class operation offering a world-class experience located in a world-class region. The region has the reef, the rainforest, the climate and the experiences, and this is why Far North Queensland is considered by many as the adventure capital of Australia.
This acquisition also represents a significant milestone for our business in that it is the first series of acquisitions we’ve made under the Experience Co brand name.”
