EXMAR is pleased to announce two keystone events in its Caribbean FLNG project:

On 5th November, Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (TSX:PRE) and Gazprom Marketing & Trade Limited ("GM&T") announced the execution of a Heads of Agreement ("HOA") with respect to a five year Sale and Purchase Agreement ("SPA") covering approximately 0.5 million tons per year of liquefied natural gas ("LNG") FOB Colombia (Caribbean Sea) commencing commercial operations in the second quarter of 2015. This LNG cargo will be produced in, and loaded from, EXMAR's Caribbean FLNG barge.

Last week, Wison Offshore & Marine Ltd successfully completed the installation of the three LNG storage tanks into the hull of the Caribbean FLNG barge, reaching a significant milestone in the construction of the world's first floating LNG production unit. With this major activity completed, the pathway is clear for installing the deck and topsides of the barge.

EXMAR's CEO, Nicolas Saverys, stated "The execution of a Heads of Agreement between our customer, PRE, and the major international gas company GM&T is an important step in the implementation of the project's marketing strategy. Having a leading gas company like GM&T signing offtake from our Caribbean FLNG project is strong industry recognition of our barge-based FLNG strategy. Our project is progressing on schedule, and expected to be mechanically completed in April 2014, with 'sail away' in the fall of 2014 in order to be ready to start commercial operations in the second quarter of 2015."

EXMAR is also pleased to announce that, together with its Joint-Venture partner Teekay LNG (TGP), it has declared options to build two additional Midsize LPG carriers at Hanjin Heavy Industries. These bring the total of newbuildings for EXMAR LPG BVBA to 12 vessels, four of which are currently being built at Hyundai MIPO and eight will be built at Hanjin. Delivery of these vessels will be between February 2014 and May 2018.

EXMAR is verheugd om twee mijlpalen aan te kondigen in het Caribbean FLNG project. Pacific Rubiales Energy (PRE) en Gazprom Marketing & Trade Limited ("GM&T") kondigden op 5 november aan dat zij een overeenkomst onder voorwaarden (Heads of Agreement) afsloten met betrekking tot een vijf jaar durende aan/verkoop overeenkomst voor de levering van 0,5 miljoen ton LNG per jaar (liquefied natural gas –vloeibaar gemaakt aardgas) FOB (Free on Board) vanuit Colombia (Caribische Zee). De commerciële operaties zullen in het tweede kwartaal van 2015 opstarten. De LNG-ladingen zullen geproduceerd en opgeslaan worden op EXMAR's vlottende liquefactie platform "Caribbean FLNG".

Vorige week werd bij Wison Offshore & Marine Ltd, waar 's werelds eerste vlottende liquefactie platform in aanbouw is: EXMAR "Caribbean FLNG" met succes de installatie van de drie LNG-opslagtanks in de romp van het platform afgerond. Door de afronding van deze belangrijke stap in het bouwproces, kan de opbouw van het dek en de installaties worden aangevat.

Nicolas Saverys, CEO van EXMAR verklaarde: "de uitvoering van de overeenkomst tussen onze cliënt, PRE en de grote internationale gasmaatschappij GM&T is een belangrijke stap in de uitvoering van EXMAR's project marketing strategie. Het feit dat een toonaangevend bedrijf zoals GM&T zich engageert in dit project betekent een erkenning van onze strategie die erin bestaat vlottende liquefactie-installaties aan te bieden. Het project verloopt volgens schema en het platform wordt verwacht in april 2014 mechanisch opgeleverd te worden; later in 2014 wordt het platform verscheept om in het tweede kwartaal 2015 in bedrijf gesteld te worden. "

EXMAR kondigt eveneens met genoegen aan dat zij samen met haar joint-venture partner Teekay LNG (TGP) de optie heeft gelicht voor de bouw van twee bijkomende LPG-schepen van het Midsize type bij Hanjin Heavy Industries. Hierbij wordt het totaal aantal nieuwbouwschepen voor EXMAR LPG BVBA op twaalf gebracht. Vier van de nieuwbouwschepen zijn in aanbouw bij Hyundai MIPO; de overige acht bij Hanjin. De oplevering van deze schepen vindt plaats tussen februari 2014 en mei 2018.
