The Board of Directors of Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL), wholly owned subsidiary of the Company engaged in the manufacture of lithium-ion cells, modules and battery packs at its meeting held today i.e. Tuesday 30[th ] April 2024, appointed Mr. Ar Mittal (DIN 00412767) as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of EESL for a term of three (3) years w.e.f. l[5][1 ] May 2024 till 30[th ] April 2027, subject to necessary approval of the shareholders of EESL.
Mr Ar Mittal is a Fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India, an Associate member of Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries oflndia. He joined Exide Industries Limited in the year 1993 and upon his retirement as Whole time Director (Director-Automotive) with effect from close of business hours on 30[th ] April 2024 from Exide Industries Limited, he has been appointed as the Managing Director & CEO of EESL.
Mr Mittal has been on the Board of EESL as non-executive director since its inception and has been instrnmental in supervising the major activities at EESL, including setting-up of the upcoming green-field multi-giga facility ofEESL that is being set-up in Bengalurn to manufacture lithium-ion cells.
