Response to Press Speculation

EVRAZ plc (the "Company" and together with its subsidiaries the "Group") notes recent press speculation regarding potential combination of the Group's and Sibuglemet Holding's coal assets, or "Sibuglemet".

The Company has previously entered into a new arms-length management contract around Sibuglemet assets and further to the announcement made on 29 May 2018, which was published on the Company's website, confirms its strategic interest to explore possible options in relation to the coal assets of Sibuglemet with an aim of increasing the long-term security of supply of a wide range of coking coal grades required for Group's operations.

The Company notes however that such options have not been considered by the Company's Board of Directors as at this point and accordingly no decisions have been made. The Company will make further announcements in due course as and if may be appropriate.
