DRILLING PROGRESS

Westonia Mines Limited wishes to announce the following in regard to its drilling programme at Westonia.

• Dewatering of the pit will be completed during the coming week.
• Drilling along the pit floor is now entering the fifth week, with drill productivity typically higher than budgeted.
• All QA/QC systems are working well, as confirmed by an independent audit of drill sampling and the assay laboratory.
• In order to condense the timeframe for the drilling programme, whilst retaining the same scope, the Company will drill through the Christmas break with the aim of releasing a new Geological Resource estimate before the end of March 2006.
• The Company expects to be in a position to make a further interim announcement in mid-January based upon drill assays and modelling but is generally encouraged by assays received to date.
