Westonia Mines Limited closes the rights issue

Westonia is pleased to announce that the renounceable rights issue announced on 13 November 2006 has closed on 8 December 2006. All shares offered under the rights issue were taken up by shareholders. The issue raised approximately \$6.1 million before costs.

With reference to the Appendix 3B announced on 14 November, 2006 the Company advises that allotment will take place on 14 December 2006, with holding statements to be despatched also on 14 December 2006.
