APPOINTMENT OF PROJECT MANAGER

Westonia Mines Limited announces the appointment of Mr Ian Kerr as Project Manager for the development of the Westonia Gold Project, effective early March.

Mr Kerr's 20 years engineering and management experience includes the following major roles within the Placer Dome group:

• Project Manager, Wallaby Gold Project $\bullet$
• Project Manager, Wallaby Gold Feasibility Study $\bullet$
• Vice President, Project Development
• Project Manager, Osborne Copper/Gold Mine
• Senior engineering positions at Porgera, Granny Smith and Big Bell gold mines

Mr Kerr has also been the Development Manager for Cawse Nickel Stage II for Centaur Mining & Exploration, and most recently he was Manager, Mt Keith Projects for WMC Resources.

His decision to join the Company in this leading role, at this important and exciting time, is viewed by the Board as a strong vote of confidence in the Project's future.
