REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT

I refer to our telephone conversation this morning and confirm that Richfield Group Limited (ASX: RCH) requests that a trading halt be granted in relation to the Companies securities immediately pursuant to Listing Rule 17.1 and provide the following information:

• The halt is requested pending an announcement in relation to substantial shareholder Chimera Capital Limited

• We expect the trading halt will be required for 2 days

• The Company would like the trading halt to last until a further announcement as contemplated (but in any event not beyond the time prescribed by the ASX Market Rules)

• The Company is unaware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted and does not hold any further information which ought now to be announced to the market that is relevant to the trading halt.
