Dear Sirs.

We wish to advise the market of the details of a Supreme Court hearing that took place last Thursday 31 July 2003 in relation to the Company.

The background to the hearing was that a meeting of the Directors of the Company had been convened for 1 August 2003 for the following purposes:

• 1. To remove Mr CC Tan as CEO of the Company and replace him with Mr Jack Bai.
• 1. To include the Chairman as a signatory on the bank account of the Company.
• 1. To instruct the Company auditors to prepare the Appendix 4E for the Company.

Also a requisition had been received by the Company from 2 shareholders of the Company seeking a general meeting to remove all of the Directors of the Company.

3 of the Directors, Mr CC Tan, Mrs J Lim and Mr K Ho and certain shareholders applied to the Supreme Court against the Company, the other Directors and certain other shareholders for an interim injunction to prevent these meetings being held.

His Honour Justice Templeman granted an interim injunction preventing both the holding of that particular Board meeting and also the holding of the requisitioned general meeting.
