Espen Eldal appointed acting CEO of Europris ASA

Fredrikstad, 27 March 2020: The board of directors of Europris ASA [OSE: EPR]

has resolved to appoint Espen Eldal as acting CEO of the company. Eldal has been

the CFO since 2014 and is part of a very solid and experienced leadership team

in Europris.

The COVID-19 virus outbreak has resulted in extraordinary times, which have made

it practically impossible to bring the recruitment process to an end within the

planned timeframe. Since the board intends to conclude this process as

circumstances allow, it has decided to constitute Eldal as acting CEO in

Europris. Alongside the former CEO, Eldal has been instrumental in building a

strong team and solid operational processes in the company over the past few

years.

"Circumstances have made the ongoing recruitment process challenging, but it

will hopefully resume and be concluded in due course," says Tom Vidar Rygh,

chair of the board.

"Nevertheless, the board would like to express its full confidence in and a warm

welcome to Espen as the acting CEO. He is well respected by external

stakeholders and by the entire Europris family."

Eldal will assume the position of acting CEO today while retaining his duties as

CFO in this interim period.
