Paris, 7 September 2011 – TF1 and EuropaCorp Television announce the signature of a framework development agreement for the production of English-language international series.

These series are targeted at the global market and will be broadcast on TF1 in France.

This new partnership with the leading mass-appeal French TV channel emphasises the relevance of the EuropaCorp Group's strategy of producing international series and confirms the potential of EuropaCorp Television.

For EuropaCorp, which is now one of the leading independent studios in Europe, the global fiction market is a strategic development sector that responds to demand by broadcasters for premium, fresh, exclusive content, in particular English-language series aimed at an international market.

For TF1, this development agreement with EuropaCorp Television for a genre as important as television series demonstrates its intention to play an active part in the development of French-origin series for an international market, as a complement to its ambitious policy for French fiction products. This agreement is a logical extension of a longstanding motion picture partnership with Luc Besson and of all the major successes they have enjoyed together.
