MAIDEN CONTRACT WIN WITH AUSTRALIAN DEPT. OF DEFENCE AND NEW US POLICE FORCE ORDER
Etherstack plc, the specialist in wireless communications technologies, is pleased to announce government sales by its Australian and US subsidiaries. The value of the lead orders is US$280k with follow on orders of a similar nature expected.
Australian Department of Defence
Etherstack has posted its first ever supply order with the Australian Department of Defence. The order is a continuation of the Company’s success in supplying communications equipment, technology and services to defence organisations around the globe that include the US DoD, Swedish Armed Forces, NATO and the UAE Armed Forces, as well as technology to the world’s leading defence companies including Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Thales and Harris.
City of Roanoke, Texas
The Company’s US subsidiary (Etherstack Inc.) has won an order with US distribution partner, Icom, to supply the City of Roanoke a digital trunked radio network complying to the APCO P25 wireless communications standard as used by public safety organisations in the US, Canada and Australia. The radio network will provide the City’s first responders, such as police and fire officers, with secure mission critical communications capabilities during their regular daily operations and emergencies.
This contract is one of several new P25 radio networks that Etherstack Inc has won and deployed in the past 12 months in the US & Canada. The networks have a typical lifespan exceeding 10-15 years, with ongoing support services and equipment refresh programmes undertaken during the duration of the network life.
