ETHERSTACK ANNOUNCES NEW US$3 MILLION CANADIAN UTILITY ORDER
Etherstack is pleased to announce it has won a network expansion contract with ATCO Electric to provide additional sites and capacity to ATCO Electric’s mission critical radio communications network which supports ATCO Electric’s electricity distribution and transmission operations in Alberta, Canada.
Etherstack’s APCO P25 network solution has been deployed in the ATCO Electric network since 2010 and Etherstack has provided support to the network for the past 5 years.
The first phase of the new expansion contract is planned for delivery in the current financial year and is expected to contribute to 2016 revenues.
The current deliveries, additional phases and recurring support revenues are expected to generate approximately US$3.1m in total over the next 4 to 5 year timeframe depending on the final network rollout plan. The full deployment involves 80 sites across Alberta Province.
ATCO Electric is one of 5 major electric utilities that use Etherstack’s APCO P25 digital radio network technology in Canada, Australia and the United States.
Earlier this year, Etherstack announced a multi-million dollar order to deploy a greenfield 900MHz P25 digital radio network across 13 counties in New Jersey for First Energy’s Jersey Central Power & Light (JCPL) subsidiary.
