Etherstack signs technology deal with Israeli defence company
Etherstack today announced that it had entered into agreement with an Israeli defence technology company to supply Etherstack wireless technology in support of a project for the US Department of Homeland Security.
"While not significant in dollar terms, the deal demonstrates that the world's defence and security companies regularly turn to Etherstack to access our unique technologies for secure wireless communications equipment", Etherstack's CEO, Mr David Deacon said today. "Following on from the recent release of our small form factor tactical repeater product, the company is looking forward to growth in both our defence and public safety communications businesses, with new distributors engaged for this product."
Etherstack has in recent years previously supplied wireless communications technology directly to the Swedish Armed Forces, the US Department of Defense and to over a dozen different major defence companies globally, including Raytheon, L-3, Lockheed Martin, GDC4S, Rockwell Collins, Harris and Thales in the UK & US.
The technology to be supplied under the agreement announced today relates to creating secure private networks between LTE cellular devices and government digital radio networks in support of public safety agencies.
