ASX Announcement

ETHERSTACK PLC

[ASX:ESK]

("Etherstack" or the "Company")

Combined Contract Wins of Over $2m

Etherstack plc, the specialist in wireless communications technologies, announces that its US and Australian subsidiaries have each been awarded contract extensions for electric utility digital radio network upgrades with existing utility clients, one with First Energy in Maryland and the other in Australia.

The combined value of the two upgrades should exceed A$2m, with an expected contribution to current year revenues of the same amount.

Etherstack's APCO P25 digital trunked radio network solution for First Energy was first deployed in the eastern US states of Maryland and Pennsylvania in 2011, providing mission critical communications for the utility's operations staff who manage and maintain the energy supplier's power network. The network was in the path of Hurricane Sandy in October 2012 and provided digital radio coverage to First Energy staff restoring damaged power assets in the aftermath of the storm. Digital radio networks of these types typically have an operational lifespan in excess of 10 years, often up to 15 years.

Etherstack's CEO, David Deacon said: "Both the US and Australian digital radio network expansions demonstrate how Etherstack's growing client base continue to generate long term revenues for the group. Our digital radio network technology is deployed around the world and used in mission critical networks in the public safety, utilities and resource sectors".
