Data Labs signs top 10 global law firm
Thursday 10 December 2015 – Human capital technology company Data Labs, proposed to be acquired by Estrella Resources Ltd (ASX:ESR), has signed a top 10 global law firm as a paying customer for flagship people analytics software solution Talent Lab.
The London headquartered firm, specialising in legal and taxation matters, operates in 59 countries with approximately 6,000 staff.
The client win marks an early milestone for Data Labs as it commences building revenue through the sale of the Talent Lab product.
Talent Lab is next generation people analytics software, delivered via the cloud, that enables the transformation of human capital data into actionable insights and financial benefit.
The software will be delivered as a hosted solution in early 2016.
“The legal industry is a great fit for the Talent Lab software as the majority of assets in a law firm relate to human capital,” said Data Labs CEO Sam Jones.
“Our data visualisation software helps organisations make decisions based on fact rather than opinion. In a law firm this supports building diverse teams, developing skills and competencies, managing mobility, removing bias from the recruitment process and managing compensation decisions alongside fee generation data.”
A number of high profile global companies are evaluating the Talent Lab software, less than two months since the product was readied for the market.
Talent Lab is available as an on‐premise or hosted solution with clients receiving several days of training at point of go‐live. Pricing starts at US$5,000 per month for up to ten users with a population size of under 10,000. Clients typically sign a 12‐month subscription agreement with full payment received in advance.
Estrella proposes to acquire Data Labs following completion of a number of conditions precedent including mutual due diligence, shareholder approval and re‐ compliance with the ASX listing rules.
