We, the undersigned entities, notify you pursuant to §§ 21 para. 1, 22
para. 1 no. 5 WpHG of the following with regard to HCI Capital AG,
Bleichenbrücke 10, 20354 Hamburg, Germany:

On 9 October, 2007, 21.46h (German time), Corsair III Investments
(Luxembourg) S.a.r.l., Luxembourg, Luxembourg has exceeded the thresholds
of 15% and 20% of the voting rights in HCI Capital AG. Thus, Corsair III
Investments (Luxembourg) S.a.r.l. on 9 October 2007, 21.46h (German time),
held 20.028% of the voting rights (this corresponds to 4,806,730 voting
rights). Out of these, 10.004% of the voting rights (2,400,937 voting
rights) were attributed to it according to § 22 (1) no. 5
Wertpapierhandelsgesetz.

Accordingly, each of the following entities associated with Corsair III
Investments (Luxembourg) S.a.r.l. also exceeded the thresholds of 15% and
20% of voting rights in HCI Capital AG on 9 October 2007, 21.46h (German
time), and held indirectly 20.028% of the voting rights (this corresponds
to 4,806,730 voting rights), which are attributed to them according to § 22
(1) No. 1 and - in relation to 10.004% of the voting rights (2,400,937
voting rights - according to § 22 (1) No. 5 Wertpapierhandelsgesetz:

• Corsair Capital LLC, City of Wilmington, USA, controlling Corsair III
Offshore Management L.P., George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands as its
General Partner;
• Corsair III Offshore Management L.P. controlling Corsair III Financial
Services Offshore Capital Partners L.P., George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman
Islands as its General Partner;
• Corsair III Financial Services Offshore Capital Partners L.P.
controlling Corsair III Finance Europe S.a.r.l., Luxembourg, Luxembourg;
• Corsair III Finance Europe S.a.r.l. controlling Corsair III Investments
International S.a.r.l., Luxembourg, Luxembourg;
• Corsair III Investments International S.a.r.l. controlling Corsair III
