A strongerHPR in a bigger market

HPR has broadened its ownership and can offer staffing services to more clients in more sectors.

HPR (Human Productions Resources) has traditionally been the staffing agency for Havyard's shipyard in Leirvik. With effect from the new year, QualiTech's staffing company has acquired half of the shares from Havyard Group. Together, the two owners will be in a stronger position in the growing market in both the maritime and onshore sectors.

Frank-Levi Kvalsund, CEO of HPR, says that the two companies complement each other and will give both clients and staff new opportunities.

'The combination of HPR's dependable skilled workers and QualiTech's strengths in sales and staffing services will give us more clout, a broader market and more flexibility in relation to both current and new clients.'

Svein Tore Torvund of QualiTech is looking forward to further developing HPR in other markets. 'HPR is a company with lots of expertise and lots of potential. The company's staff have extensive experience, which QualiTech believes will be a good fit with our strategy to target many different sectors and markets.'

Covers many fields

HPR has recruited and developed skilled workers from Poland, primarily, and it currently has a pool of 100 employees. The company has a well-developed logistics system and network, which means that it can scale up quickly if market activity increases. QualiTech currently has a pool of 130 skilled workers and a client portfolio in several different sectors (maritime, offshore, building and construction, industry, infrastructure, and fisheries). HPR has its own HR staff in Poland who recruit capable employees with extensive and substantial experience from assignments in Norway, among other places. HPR has excellent references and delivers top-quality services in fields such as electrical work, plumbing, steel work, fitting out, carpentry, painting, scaffolding, and engineering.

A bigger market, more sectors

The company will continue to focus on shipyards and other maritime industries, but, in cooperation with QualiTech, HPR will also offer staffing services to other sectors such as building and construction, offshore, infrastructure, industry etc. where it can offer experience of different disciplines and trades.

Frank-Levi Kvalsund says that they expect increasing demand for skilled workers in the time ahead. 'Joining forces with QualiTech will enable us to meet the needs of clients in a wide range of sectors.'

He also says that HPR has proven over time that it delivers services that are competitive in terms of both quality and price.

'We therefore believe that HPR will be a good partner for old and new clients in the maritime industry and other industrial sectors in Norway.'
