EQUITA welcomes CDP Real Asset SGR Fund of Funds as co-anchor for the EQUITA Green Impact Fund

Milan, February 26 th , 2024

EQUITA Capital SGR – one of the leading multiasset platforms in Italy – is pleased to announce that CDP Real Asset SGR has committed to enter the EQUITA Green impact Fund (EGIF).

Through the Fund of Funds (FOF) Infrastrutture, CDP Real Asset SGR has approved a €30 million investment in EGIF and has agreed to act as co-anchor alongside a major European financial institution. The CDP Group joins other pre-eminent institutional entities who will invest in the Fund, bringing EGIF in line to achieve its target for first closing in the coming weeks.

The objective of EGIF – qualified as an Article 9 fund under the European Sustainable Financial Disclosures Regulation (SFDR) – is to support the energy transition and contribute to the fight against climate change.

Following the first close, EGIF will deploy capital to increase renewable energy capacity with a specific focus on Italy, whilst adding some diversification into other EU countries. Investments will be targeted at utility scale greenfield opportunities in solar photovoltaic, wind and biogas.
