New US patent approval for Episurf Medical
Episurf Medical (NASDAQ: EPIS B) has received another Notice ofAllowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The patent, entitled "Design of an implant for cartilage repair", relates to Episurf Medical's design processes for individualised design and has a focus on a surgical instrument for inserting the company's Episealer® implants accurately.
"This is the first approval in this patent family, giving us protection in the area of individualised design of surgical devices. Through our design processes we create medical devices with the best possible fit for each patient", says Katarina Flodström, COO, Episurf Medical.
