New Chinese patent approval for Episurf Medical

Episurf Medical (NASDAQ: EPIS B) has received another Notice of Allowance from the Chinese patent office SIPO. The patent, entitled "Method and node for manufacturing a surgical kit for cartilage repair", covers a medical image segmentation process for 3D visualisation of anatomical joints.

"Image segmentation is a crucial part of the technology around Episurf Medical's individualised joint implants and surgical instruments. This is a comprehensive patent in the field of 3D visualisation of joints with a broader scope than the company's related patents", comments Katarina Flodström, COO, Episurf Medical.
