EnviTec Biogas adjusts planning for 2009 due to project postponements

Lohne, 20 October 2009 - According to preliminary figures, EnviTec Biogas
AG [ISIN: DE000A0MVLS8] generated sales of about EUR 32 million in the
third quarter of 2009, clearly more than in the first quarter (EUR 19.2
million) and in the second quarter (EUR 23.5 million). After the first
three quarters of 2009, total sales amount to about EUR 74.7 million
(previous year: EUR 64.5 million).

In spite of the favourable development in what has been a difficult year
for the entire economy, the company has revised its sales projection and
now expects full-year sales to grow from EUR 100.1 million to approximately
EUR 110 million (originally EUR 150 - 200 million). Based on this, EnviTec
anticipates reporting a balanced EBIT result (earnings before interest and
taxes). The lower sales growth is due to the fact that contrary to original
plans, the construction of several plants cannot be started before 2010.
One of the reasons is that recent months have seen a substantial change in
authorities' approval policies to the detriment of plant engineering
companies, particularly in Germany, which has led to sometimes considerable
delays in project implementation in Germany but also abroad. Having
impacted both plant sales and own plant operations, this development will
shift a substantial sales volume. In addition, a number of projects,
particularly in Eastern Europe, have incurred significant delays as a
result of customers having to meet banks' tightened lending standards.

Next year, EnviTec Biogas wants to continue its growth on a national and
international level on the basis of the high order backlog. Orders on hand
currently amount to about EUR 225 million, with 25% coming from
abroad.
