Lohne, 30 September 2009 - EnviTec Biogas AG (ISIN: DE000A0MVLS8) has
strengthened its management team by appointing Roel Slotman (38) new member
of the Executive Board (CCO international). Roel Slotman will assume
responsibility for International Sales with immediate effect. Born in the
Netherlands, he has worked as export manager on the international sales
team of the biogas plant manufacturer and operator since 2005. Before
joining EnviTec Biogas, the engineer held leading positions at Biothane
Systems Int. B.V., Norit membrane technology B.V. and others.
'Over the past years we have grown significantly outside Germany. Today we
operate not only throughout Europe but also in Asia and Roel Slotman has
had a major part in this successful development,' says Olaf von Lehmden,
CEO of EnviTec Biogas, who previously held responsibility for International
Sales. Going forward, the company's international activities will make an
important contribution to its growth. More and more countries have become
aware of the advantages of biogas as an environmentally compatible and
local source of energy and created an attractive environment to promote the
technology.
EnviTec Biogas AG covers the entire value chain for the production of
biogas - including the planning and turnkey construction of biogas plants
as well as their commissioning. The company provides the biological and
technical service and also offers the full plant and operating management.
In Güstrow, in the German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, EnviTec
built the world's largest plant for the production of biogas to natural gas
standards with a thermal output of 55 megawatts. In addition, the company
also operates its own biogas plants. Today, the company is represented in
more than 15 countries throughout Europe and as well in China and South
Korea. In 2008 EnviTec generated revenues of EUR 101 million and EBIT of
EUR 3.2 million. The EnviTec Group currently has about 377 employees. Since
July 2007 EnviTec is listed on the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt
Stock Exchange.
