Operating subsidiary result for the six months to 31[st] December 2009

Dulhunty Power Limited (ASX:DUL) is pleased to report continued profitability for the main operating subsidiary, Dulhunty Engineering Limited (DEL), after subdued results for the comparable half year to 31 December 2008. Dulhunty Power Ltd (DUL) owns 51% of Dulhunty Engineering Ltd and these results will be consolidated into the DUL result to be announced next week.

The draft half year result to 31 December 2009 is the best 6 month period in the history of DEL and has resulted from improved performance in most international operations especially in China where both manufacturing and sales have contributed strongly. Sales have sustained the momentum gained in the 6 months to 30 June 2009 thereby achieving sales for the half year to 31 December 2009 of $12m compared with $8.2m for the comparative 6 month period to 31 December 2008.

DEL has achieved a half year EBIT profit to 31 December 2009 of approximately $1.280m, (EBIT loss for the 6 months to 31 December 2008 was $213K) and a Net Profit after tax and minority of approximately $790K (Net Loss after tax and minority of $420K for the half year to 31 December 2008)

The full calendar year 2009 has seen an increase in sales of 42% over the calendar year 2008 and a growth in EBIT profit from $168K to $2.238m.

Operations subsequent to 31 December 2009 have continued the trend aided by a pickup in orders received for the Australian business.
