Market Announcement Geelong Investment and Innovation Fund

Dulhunty Power Limited (DUL) is pleased to announce that it is a successful applicant for a Grant under the Geelong Investment and Innovation Fund (GIIF) and has been awarded $750,000 to be used in establishment of a plant in Geelong to manufacture Dulhunty GFRC power poles under license. The announcement of grant recipients was made today by Senator the Hon Kim Carr, Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research jointly with The Hon Jacinta Allan MP, Victorian Minister for Regional and Rural Development and Ms Sinead McAlary, Public Affairs Manager, Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited.

In 2007 DUL acquired from the USA Licensor the exclusive license to manufacture and distribute innovative patented composite glass fibre reinforced concrete (GFRC) power poles. These poles, which offer many advantages, compete with conventional wood and steel reinforced concrete poles. Technology advantages include competitive whole of life cost, extended life, light weight, very high fire resistance, low carbon footprint and non conductivity.

Dulhunty Power Limited intends to incorporate a new Australian company to develop the GFRC pole plant in Geelong, with future plants planned for NSW and Western Australia to service Australian power distribution utilities.

DUL was the only ASX listed company amongst the 11 successful applicants which received grants totaling $7.46m and was one of 2 companies intending to construct Greenfield manufacturing facilities in the Geelong region. Subject to building availability, DUL expects to commence operations in January, 2010.
