Retirement of Director

Energy Technologies Ltd (ASX:EGY) announces that Chief Executive Officer Mr. Tony Wingrove will retire effective March 31[st] , 2012. Mr Wingrove has also indicated that he intends to resign as a Director of the Company on that day.

EGY’s directors are pleased to advise that Mr Wingrove will be available to act as a consultant to the company in situations where his experience will be of direct value; also that he will continue as a Director of partly owned subsidiary, Dulhunty Poles Pty Ltd.

Mr. Wingrove, aged 68, was appointed to the EGY Board in April 2007. As CEO he has steered the company through a period of major change, including the sale of its mature core asset group Dulhunty Power International Limited and investment in Dulhunty Poles Pty Ltd.

Mr Wingrove has brought the company to the beginning of a new growth phase. Dulhunty Poles is now trading strongly with increasing orders. Due diligence has commenced on an acquisition target manufacturing electrical products for the mining, defence and industrial sectors. Discussions are well advanced with a further two companies, providing products for energy control and management, with a view to acquisition.

The Chairman of EGY Mr. Martin Thomas AM thanked Mr. Wingrove for his significant leadership and vision through the difficult years of the Global Financial Crisis and for his ongoing developmental efforts on behalf of the company.

Mr Thomas said that succession planning was well developed and that he was confident the company would be able to announce the appointment of a new Chief Executive very shortly.
