Appointment of CEO

Energy Technologies Ltd (ASX: EGY) is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Malcolm Munro as Chief Executive Officer of the company effective 1 April 2012.

Mr Munro replaces Mr. Tony Wingrove who retired effective March 31[st] , 2012.

Mr. Munro was formerly CEO and Chief Operating Officer of Landis + Gyr, Asia-Pacific. The Asia Pacific business of Landis + Gyr had sales in excess of $A200m. During this time Mr Munro was involved in M&A activities as CEO at Email and Landis + Gyr, including Nilsen Metering, Enermet Metering and Techres. Mr Munro brings broad manufacturing and systems knowledge and will lead organisational and operating capacity improvements needed for new acquisitions planned for the company,

Mr Munro will receive a base salary of $180,000 as CEO of EGY, plus statutory superannuation and a vehicle allowance. A performance bonus of up to $70,000 payable in EGY ordinary shares, will be subject to achieving certain Key Performance Indicators including achieving sales growth in the subsidiaries under his control, and accretion in the share price of EGY.

EGY Chairman, Mr Martin Thomas welcomed Mr Munro to his appointment and reiterated that this appointment is an integral part of the EGY Business Plan and in line with succession planning.
