Market Announcement Dulhunty Engineering Appointments to meet Growth Targets
Dulhunty Power is pleased to announce the addition of new management resources to its Dulhunty Engineering Limited operating subsidiary to allow the company to take advantage of recently identified growth opportunities in Asia and other markets outside Australia and New Zealand, which are expected to lead to a very substantial increase in total group turnover within 3 years.
Mr. Malcolm Munro has been appointed to the newly created position of Group General Manager with responsibility for all group activities including manufacturing operations.
Mr. Munro, formerly CEO and Chief Operating Officer of Landis + Gyr, Asia-Pacific, brings broad manufacturing and systems knowledge and will lead organisational and operating capacity improvements needed for the expected lift in output and sales.
Mr. Jack Roughan will join the board as Executive Director and relinquish responsibility for day to day operations. He will also continue in a management capacity concentrating on market development with particular emphasis on the global markets where the company has identified huge and immediate growth opportunities. Mr. Roughan will also retain responsibility for product development and the company’s engineering division will report to him.
Mr. Alfred Chown, Chairman of Dulhunty Engineering Limited, said that the company’s growth of more than 200% over the last 5 years continued even in the recent financial year and the opportunities offered by the expanded global markets would build on the purchase of the business of Pan American Insulators Inc. in the USA in 2008 and the factory that Dulhunty Power established in Thailand in 2007. Growth in these markets and others where Dulhunty Power is already more firmly entrenched would justify planned expansion of the company’s PRC manufacturing facilities. He added that further appointments to the company’s engineering staff were expected to be finalized shortly.
