The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Half-yearly report 1/2001 of Energiekontor AG: Sales revenue increased by 15% compared to previous year’s period, EBIT-margin 14%, Business plan for the current business year affirmed Bremen, Germany, August 15, 2001. In the first six months of the current business year (01.01. to 31.12.2001) Energiekontor AG’s sales revenue amounted to EUR 22.515 mil. This is equivalent to an increase in sales revenue of 15% compared to the same period last year (30.06.2000: EUR 19.559 mil.). The operating result (EBIT) reached EUR 3.162 mil. Hence, Energiekontor’s EBIT- margin amounts to ca. 14% The sales revenue includes revenues from the planning and installation of wind farms together with the marketing of wind farm funds shares, which amounted to EUR 22.254 Mio. The service sector of the Energiekontor Group, which comprises technical and commercial management of Energiekontor wind farms, contributed to sales revenue with revenues amounting to EUR 261,000. In the wind farm project business the bulk of turnover traditionally arises in the fourth quarter, namely the purchase and erection of wind power plants. Based on the current status of planning of wind farm projects, Energiekontor is confident to reach the projected sales revenue of EUR 124 mil. and an operating result (EBIT)of EUR 13.475 mil. which would represent an EBIT-increase of ca. 27% compared to the previous year.
