Rome, July 17th , 2018 – Enel S.p.A. ("Enel") announces that Maurizio Bezzeccheri has been appointed Head of the Group's South America Region, starting from August 1st. Mr Bezzeccheri will replace Luca D'Agnese who will leave the Enel Group, for personal reasons, effective July 31st .
Francesco Starace, Enel's Chief Executive Officer and General Manager commented: "Maurizio Bezzeccheri has proven management experience in the field of energy and renewables, as well as in South America, a region he is well acquainted with, having been at the helm of our operations in Argentina and, before that, of Enel Green Power's Latin America area. I am confident that our stakeholders in South America will continue to significantly benefit from our presence in the region, through Maurizio's great wealth of knowledge and expertise. Likewise, on my own behalf and on behalf of Enel as a whole, I would like to extend my gratitude to Luca D'Agnese for the excellent work he has carried out as the former Head of South America and in all the other positions he has held within our Group. We wish him all the best for his future."
Maurizio Bezzeccheri, born in 1958 and graduated "cum laude" in Chemical Engineering, has held management positions in several multinational companies in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and South-East Asia.
