Refresh in Deal with Saisan

Refresh Group Ltd (Refresh) is pleased to announce that it is in the final stage of negotiations with Saisan Co Ltd (Saisan), to sell it a 51% stake in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Refresh Waters Queensland Pty Ltd (Queensland). Refresh will continue to manage the Queensland operations after the sale.

Saisan was established in 1945 and is presently a leading supplier of bottled gas in Japan. Its gas business has expanded outside Japan to China, Mongolia and Vietnam. It has also diversified into bottled water and is looking into expanding its bottled water business. In the last financial year, its revenue was $585 million, with operating profit of $23 million.

Mr Henry Heng, Executive Chairman of Refresh said, “We are pleased to tie up with such a dynamic company which has been in business for almost 70 years. It has a visionary management that has not only grown its business locally but has successfully expanded the company internationally. I’ve visited their bottled water and gas factories and am very impressed with the high standard of their operations.”

Refresh Group Ltd offers complete drinking water solutions - bottled water, water filters and purifiers. It is Australia’s largest producer of distilled drinking water with a capacity to produce more than 10,000 litres of distilled water per hour.

Refresh Pure Water is sold in pack sizes ranging from 600mL to 15L for home and office deliveries. Water coolers are available for sale or hire. 5L packs are sold in Woolworths supermarkets in Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. Other retail packs are sold in selected IGA supermarkets throughout Australia.

Refresh also markets a superoxygenated water. Oxyfresh uses a unique process to energise pure water through a GIE activator. The oxygen content is then increased by up to 700%. Add to this Himalayan crystal salt containing 84 elements essential for good health and you have a crisp tasting, refreshing energy drink without the sugar. Another brand of bottled water marketed by the company is Sunshower Springs . This premium spring water is available for home and office deliveries in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Sydney.
