Emyria Completes Acquisition of the Pax Centre

Emyria Limited (ASX: EMD) (“Emyria”, or the “Company”) a clinical services and drug development company focussed on mental health is pleased to confirm the successful acquisition of Mind Body Consulting Pty Ltd, trading as the Pax Centre, after both parties have satisfied the Conditions Precedent disclosed to the market on 3rd July 2023.[1]

The strategic acquisition, valued at $1.7 million and executed through a combination of shares and cash, marks the commencement of Emyria's growth strategy and commitment to redefine mental health care delivery and drug development in Australia and beyond.

Key benefts of the acquisition:

• Psychedelic-assisted Therapy Leadership: The combined knowledge and infrastructure of Emyria and the Pax Centre strengthen Emyria’s leadership position in the emerging field of psychedelic-assisted therapies (‘PAT’). By supporting a unique wraparound care model, Emyria ensures quality care before, during, and after PAT which positions Emyria favorably with payers, referring doctors and collaborators.

• Increased Clinical Revenue Potential: With a more diverse team of health professionals and expanded clinical capabilities, Emyria can increase its range of services, patient outcomes and potential revenue streams allowing for greater reinvestment into Emyria’s own research and drug development initiatives.

• Enhanced Data Collection: By serving a more diverse patient base, Emyria improves its capacity to capture robust and comprehensive clinical data using its advanced tools. A richer dataset further supports Emyria’s drug development programs and innovative clinical service strategies.

As a result of the acquisition, Emyria is well advanced to deliver psychedelic-assisted therapy to suitably qualified patients having:

• Secured a supply of patient-ready MDMA[2]

• Trained a diverse team of therapists and clinicians[3]

• Obtained ethics-approval for our MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD program[4]

• Established an advanced patient data registry[5]

Emyria is further extending its suite of offerings by developing care models for ketamine-, and psilocybin-assisted therapies[6] and Authorised Prescriber applications for Emyria’s psychiatrists have been submitted.
