Appointment of New Non-Executive Director and Joint Company Secretary

Emu Nickel NL (ASX: EMU ) (the Company or Emu ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Gavin Rutherford as an additional Non-Executive Director to the Board.

Mr Rutherford has a background in agribusiness where he held for many years both national and international sales and management positions in international organisations before he successfully migrated into the mining services sector in 1996.

He is currently part owner and the Managing Director of GFR, a private mine-site construction and contracting company that deals principally with blue chip customers in the uranium and iron ore sectors.

Since becoming the Managing Director of GFR in 2009, Mr Rutherford has driven GFR’s annual revenue from circa $26m to $66m enabling the company to pay dividends for the first time.

Mr Rutherford is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Dennis Wilkins and Fiona Lawe Davies as joint Company Secretary.

Mr Wilkins is the principal of DWCorporate Pty Ltd and has more than 25 years financial and corporate management experience focused mainly in the resources sector and has acquired extensive financial, audit and company secretarial skills during his career.

Ms Lawe Davies has been part of the corporate advisory team at DWCorporate Pty Ltd since 2009. Ms Lawe Davies is a qualified lawyer with previous experience in providing corporate law advice and facilitating M & A work with global clients.

The appointment follows the resignation of Mr Rudolf Tieleman as Company Secretary. The Board wishes to acknowledge the valuable contribution Mr Rudolf Tieleman has made to the Company’s development.
