Posting of Notice of General Meeting

Empyrean announces that a General Meeting ('GM') to approve the potential issue of shares to Topaz Energy Pty Ltd in relation to the successful award of a permit for 100% of the exploration rights for Block 29/11, located in the Pearl River Mouth Basin, offshore China, will be held at The Royal Institution of Great Britain, 21 Albemarle Street, London W1S 4BS at 10.00 a.m. on 4 April 2017.  The Company also intends to take the opportunity to seek new authorities that will provide it with the necessary flexibility to raise capital should the market allow and the Company decides that it is in its best interest.  At the meeting, the Board will provide a technical overview of the Pearl River Mouth Basin Project along with an update on progress.
