Posting of Circular and Notice of General Meeting

Empyrean Energy PLC (AIM: EME.L), the profitable US onshore oil, gas and condensate exploration, development and production company with assets in Texas and California, confirms that a circular to shareholders ("Circular") and a form of proxy in relation to the general meeting of the Company ("General Meeting") to be held in connection with the disposal of all of its right, title and interest in the Sugarloaf AMI development, announced on 18 January 2016, has today been posted to Shareholders.

The Circular contains a notice of a General Meeting of the Company to be held at The Royal Institution of Great Britain, 21 Albemarle Street, London W1S 4BS at 10.00 a.m. on 9 February 2016.

The Circular will also be shortly available on the Company's website at www.empyreanenergy.com.
