Empyrean Energy Plc ("Empyrean" or the "Company"), the oil and gas development company with interests in China, Indonesia and the United States, advises that Apnea Holdings Pty Ltd, a company wholly-owned by the Company's CEO and Director, Thomas Kelly, purchased 205,103 ordinary shares of 0.2p each in the Company ("Shares") on the market on Friday, 18 September 2020 at a price 4.8475p per Share.

Mr Kelly now has an interest in 88,888,888 Shares, representing 18.16% of the Company's current issued share capital. 

Empyrean CEO Tom Kelly commented "I believe that the team here at Empyrean has done an excellent job in developing and de-risking our world-class oil exploration prospects, Jade and Topaz, at Block 29-11 offshore China.
