Emerald Oil & Gas NL ("Emerald") (ASX code EMR) is pleased to announce that the R J Hunter # 1 Well spudded on March 12th, 2007. The operator is Noble Energy Incorporated and the Contractor is Grey Wolf Drilling. The proposed total depth is 10.500 feet to test several sands within the Yequa Formation. It is anticipated that the target horizons will be reached in approximately 2 to 3 weeks.
Current Depth: 1,516 Feet.
Operation: Preparing to run and cement surface casing.
Emerald has a 10% WI (after casing point) in this prospect.
