Elsight’s ‘Halo’ selected by Air Methods’ subsidiary – Spright to expand UAV healthcare services in North America

Key Highlights:

  • Elsight’s ‘Halo’ bonded connectivity solution selected as the C2 (Command and Control) trustworthy link provider for Spright’s different manned and unmanned vehicle platforms currently providing healthcare services across North America.

  • As part of the contractual agreement, Spright will become an official ‘Halo’ reseller in the United States.

  • First commercial order of Halo units received as part of the multi-year agreement to equip Spright’s manned and unmanned aerial and ground fleets.

Elsight Limited ( ASX: ELS ) (Elsight or the Company) , the recognised industry leader in drone connectivity solutions to assure their airworthiness, is pleased to announce a commercial partnership agreement between Elsight and Air Methods Corporation ( Air Methods ) subsidiary, Spright .

Air Methods is a privately owned, leading provider of air medical services in North America. The primary focus of Air Methods is the air medical division, which provides emergency medical services to more than 100,000 patients every year across 48 states in North America. Spright is the wholly-owned drone division of Air Methods and was created to help solve many of the toughest time sensitive challenges facing health services for communities across North America.

Spright’s goal is to be the largest drone operator in the medical delivery space, ensuring that they can set a network up across the entire United States to support their hospital partners, new partners, and laboratories to improve healthcare overall. This significant aspiration is expected to drive the strategic relationship with the Company.

Elsight has been chosen as Spright’s C2 reliable link provider on all of their various platforms, such as the Wingcopter 198 aircraft. The ‘Halo’ solution will be used on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) executing operations to deliver medical medicines and supplies, lab testing specimen transportation, as well as infrastructure and utility inspections across the United States.

As part of the agreement to integrate Elsight’s ‘Halo’ into all aircraft operated by Spright, the company will also become an official ‘Halo’ reseller in the United States. Under the reseller terms, Spright will also perform configuration and lifecycle management on the ‘Halo’ at its US locations.

The first commercial order of ‘Halo’ units has been received upon the signing of the five-year agreement with Spright, for an initial order value of USD90,000 . Spright have committed to several further orders during the term of the agreement. This further displays the strategic importance of Elsight’s ‘Design Win’ strategy.

Spright President Joe Resnik commented on their decision to choose Elsight:

“The decision to choose Elsight as our C2 link provider was an easy one, as the capabilities provided by ‘Halo’ are exactly what we were looking for from a safety and regulatory standpoint for mission continuity and scalability. Halo’s versatility as a connectivity solution is a natural fit for our needs, and we will begin

deploying Halos in the United States and beyond. We will also be installing Halo kits on our ground vehicle fleet.”

Elsight CEO Yoav Amitai commented on Spright’s decision to choose Elsight:

“This partnership agreement with Spright confirms our positioning of the ‘Halo’ as the ultimate drone and other unmanned connectivity solution. We are delighted to have been chosen as a partner by Spright as they deploy the ‘Halo’ to the entire drone fleets of the companies supported by Spright.

“The flexibility inherent in the industry-agnostic ‘Halo’ means the various use cases being fielded by Spright will all be supported. We look forward to seeing Spright expand across the United States and into Europe, building a long-term positive relationship between Elsight and Spright”.

“The initial order is the launching pad for a relationship that is rapidly thriving and will continue to steadily grow. Elsight looks forward to further orders for ‘Halo’ as Spright continues to expand their drone operations.”
