E523.30-35 for automotive applications - integrated µ-controller

With the E523.30-35 product family, ELMOS presents motor drivers for
bipolar stepper motors. The components feature sensorless end position /
stall detection. Moreover, the IC can be additionally connected to up to 3
Hall effect sensors or potentiometers for highest demands on the motor's
position detection. The ELMOS component can be directly integrated into the
actuator, thus saving constructed space. As an alternative, up to 3 DC
motors can be driven by the component.

Potential fields of use or applications for the E523.30-35 product family
are stepper and DC drive systems as well as various automotive applications
such as the control of radiator grille shutters, headlights, or valves.

Apart from position detection and saving space, another advantage of these
products is the LIN 2.1 interface. It allows the actuator's integration
into an existing LIN 2.1 (or older version) system. Optionally the
component can also be equipped with a PWM interface. A version with LIN
auto addressing is available as well.

The ICs come with µ-controller, 8k flash memory, and a 32 byte EEPROM. The
voltage range is 5.5 to 30V (load dump up to 42V). The chopper-controlled
current limiter can reach up to 2x800mA. The component consumes only 30µA
in sleep mode. The semiconductors are supplied in QFN32L6 packages. For a
