Dortmund, April 28, 2010: ELMOS Semiconductor AG (FSE: ELG) managed to
continue the positive trend of the 2nd half-year 2009 in the first quarter
of 2010. Sales of the first quarter of 2010 increased 92.0% compared to the
prior-year period to 43.4 million Euro (Q1 2009: 22.6 million Euro).
Earnings also improved considerably in comparison with the previous year
and are clearly positive. The gross profit grew to 18.1 million Euro (Q1
2009: 4.7 million Euro), the EBIT reached 3.5 million Euro (Q1 2009: -8.9
million Euro), and the net income amounted to 2.6 million Euro (Q1 2009:
net loss of -6.1 million Euro). This corresponds with earnings per share of
0.14 Euro (Q1 2009: loss per share of -0.32 Euro).

Increases in sales (+7.2%), operating income (+23.4%), EBIT (+21.7%), and
net income (+51.1%) were also achieved in comparison with the fourth
quarter of 2009.

The free cash flow amounted to 8.4 million Euro in the first quarter of
2010. Cash and cash equivalents came to 55.0 million Euro as of March 31,
2010.

Based on the first quarter of 2010, ELMOS now anticipates a sales growth of
considerably more than 20% for the full year and thus raises its
forecast of the beginning of the year. EBIT and cash flow of the current
fiscal year will be positive.
