Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Elixir Petroleum Limited (“Elixir” or the “Company”) (ASX:EXR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Mark O’Clery as an independent, non-executive director to the Board of Elixir.
Mr O’Clery is a Petroleum Geologist with over 24 years of experience in the international, upstream oil and gas business. During his career Mark has held senior technical, commercial, operational and managerial roles with a number of large international petroleum companies, including Western Mining Corporation, British Gas Plc, Ampolex Limited, Mobil Corporation and OMV AG.
Over the past 10-years, Mark has been involved in the management of a number of public and private oil and gas, exploration and production companies, and is currently a technical advisor to Alcoa Australia and APA Group. Mark has broad technical and commercial experience which spans a variety of jurisdictions, including Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, the USA, the UK and a number of East and West African countries.
Commenting on the announcement, Elixir’s Managing Director, Andrew Ross said:
“We are delighted to have been able to secure a candidate of Mark’s calibre to augment the capabilities of the Board of Elixir. Mark has significant geo-technical experience gained over a number of years in the upstream oil and gas industry, and we look forward to the contribution he will be able to provide to the Board as Elixir advances its interests in the Moselle Permit and actively pursues new ventures.”
