APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS

The Directors of Elixir Petroleum Limited (ASX: EXR, AIM: ELP, "Company" or Elixir") are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jonathan Stewart, Mr Andrew Ross and Mr Trevor Benson as Directors of the Company effective from today's date pursuant to the terms of the Merger Implementation Agreement between Elixir and Gawler Resources Limited ("Gawler").

Details of each new Director's qualifications and experience are set out in the notice of the Company's forthcoming AGM which is to be held on 30 November 2007 at 11 am (WDST) at Level 31, 77 St Georges Terrace, Perth Western Australia 6000.

RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR / CHANGE OF COMPANY SECRETARY

The Directors further advise that Mr Kent Hunter has resigned as Director and Secretary of the Company and wish to take this opportunity to thank him for his contribution to the Company since its establishment in 2004.

Mr Alex Neuling has been appointed as Company Secretary. Mr Neuling is a chartered accountant (UK) and chartered secretary and has more than ten years experience in resources, commerce and public practice in Australia and the UK.
