Elis announces the final step of the sales process of Clinical Solutions with the divestment of IHSS in the UK

Saint-Cloud, 08 October 2019 – Elis, an international multi-service provider, offering textile, hygiene and facility services solutions across Europe and Latin America, announces it has signed an agreement to divest of 100% of the IHSS division of Clinical Solutions in the UK. The closing of the transaction is subject to certain legal and regulatory conditions and is expected to take place by the end of Q4 2019.

IHSS is one of the two divisions of Clinical Solutions, which was formerly owned by Berendsen until its acquisition by Elis in 2017. This division, based in the UK, provides decontamination and sterilization solutions for medical devices in the private and public Healthcare sector.

This activity posted revenues of c.£19mn in 2018.

The sale of IHSS completes the divestment of Clinical Solutions, which was split in two; the “Rocialle & Guardian” division was sold in August this year. In H1 2018, in a step to remain focused on its core business, Elis announced its intention to sell Clinical Solutions.
