Ref: Intimation of Resignation of Mr. Ragunathan Gunabooshanam as Chief Financial officer of the Company with effect from 22nd October, 2020 dated 24th July, 2020.

We would like to inform that the Board of Directors at their meeting held today have appointed Mr. Jayakanthan R as the Chief Financial Officer – Designate with effect from 30th July, 2020 and as the Chief Financial Officer & Key Managerial Personnel of the Company with effect from 23rd October, 2020, consequent to the resignation of Mr. Ragunathan Gunabooshanam, Chief Financial Officer with effect from 22nd October, 2020. This arrangement is for smooth transition of Mr. Jayakanthan R's role as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 23rd October, 2020.

Enclosed herewith are brief details of the appointment as prescribed by the SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements), Regulations, 2015 (Annexure A), the contents of which are self-explanatory.

Annexure B Brief profile of Mr. Jayakanthan R

Mr. Jayakanthan R joined Elgi Equipments Ltd in the year 2009 as Senior Manager – Corporate Strategy and served last as Director – People & Strategy. Mr. Jayakanthan started his career in Accounts and Finance and has built a credible knowledge in this domain. Over the years in the Company, he has played critical roles in many of the strategic and process initiatives. He has ably rotated through multiple roles within the Company and this has enabled him to connect strongly with the business, the processes and the people.

Before joining Elgi Equipments Limited Mr. Jayakanthan R worked as GM – Corporate Services for Kennametal (I) Ltd, Bangalore. He has more than 30 years of work experience and has managed multicultural teams in India and across the globe with individuals of diverse nationalities and ethnicities. Mr. Jayakanthan R holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of Madras and holds a Certificate in Financial Management and a Diploma in Computer Programming.
